Job Description
- 4+ years experience as DB2 Database Administrator having strong background in managing, maintaining, and optimizing DB2 databases on LUW (Linux, Unix, Windows) and/or z/OS platforms.
- You will be responsible for ensuring database performance, availability, and security while supporting development and production environments.
- Install, configure, and upgrade DB2 database software and related products.
- Monitor database performance and implement tuning improvements.
- Perform backup and recovery operations using native DB2 tools and third-party solutions.
- Manage database security, including user access and roles.
- Design and implement database maintenance plans and automation scripts.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with development teams to optimize SQL queries and database design.
- Participate in capacity planning and disaster recovery planning.
- Maintain documentation for database configurations, procedures, and standards.
- Support audits and compliance initiatives as required.
