We are the leading provider of Deals related services in Greece and part of the PwC Global Deals Platform which generates annual revenues in excess of $ 8.0 billion for the Firm. Our Deals professionals work side-by-side with senior members of Private Equity and Corporate M&A clients to create tangible and sustainable value from their M&A transactions. 

Our Deals - Transaction Services team is at the core of our Deals practice focusing on (a) Buy-side and Sell-side Financial / Business Due Diligence services, including Business Plan and Financial model reviews, (b) advising clients in their negotiations on the financial aspects of Share Purchase Agreements; (c) Reviewing Completion Accounts to safeguard value, (d) Vendor Assistance services; and (e) special purpose assignments (e.g. DD for Refinancing purposes, Bid support and Defence services etc.). Our Financial / Business DD team is consistently involved in high profile M&A transactions covering a wide range of key Industries. Our client base consists primarily of large public and private Greek and Multinational corporates, Private Equity funds and their Portfolio Companies.

Due to the continued growth of our practice and consistently high demand for Financial Due Diligence and Transaction Support services, we are now proceeding with selective recruitment of high caliber Senior Associates in our Deals - Transaction Services team in Athens.

At Deals – Transaction Services you will have the opportunity to work on high profile M&A transactions, to increase your visibility to senior members of our clients’ management team and build lasting relationships as their trusted advisor. You will also become part of a high achieving, collaborative team which focuses on knowledge sharing, thought leadership and the continuous development of its people through internal and external training and upskilling courses. The position offers great potential for further development and prepares our staff for further managerial positions within the team.  

The role entails: 

  • Three (3) to five (5) years of relevant working experience  (e.g. Financial Due Diligence, Statutory Audit and Agreed Upon Procedures engagements, Financial or Business Analysis, Financial Reporting positions, Financial Restructuring); 

  • Excellent academic record from a top-tier university with background in Accounting & Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Engineering, Management Science and Technology or other relevant discipline;

  • Analytical and business skills;

  • Good knowledge of applicable accounting and reporting standards (e.g. IFRS, Greek GAAP, Greek chart of accounts) and solid technical accounting and reporting skills (e.g. consolidations, mapping TBs to Financial Statements, Accounts closing procedures, key business cycles);

  • Excellent computer skills (including Excel skills) and an appetite to invest further in own development and digital upskilling; a proficient user of MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint etc.); knowledge of Power tools (Pivot, Query, BI), Alteryx or other programming language will be considered an asset;

  • Willingness to study towards acquiring a high profile professional qualification (e.g. CFA, ACA-ICAEW, ACCA), if not already qualified;

  • Problem solving skills and a genuine passion about financial analysis and data analytics;

  • Confident and positive, “can do” attitude;

  • Commitment to providing excellent quality work and building relationships with colleagues and clients;

  • Ability to express ideas verbally and in writing, in a clear, concise and professional manner, (both in English and Greek);

  • Self-motivated and driven individuals, with an entrepreneurial mindset, willing to invest in their own personal upskilling and professional development;

  • Fluency in Greek and English, both orally and in writing;
