Summary

Jellyfish is seeking a talented Designer with light editing skills to enhance video projects with visually compelling graphics and refined aesthetics. You will create engaging content for always-on social media channels for one of the world's most well-known brands. Reporting to our Head of Production and VP of Creative, this role is ideal for a creative editor/designer with experience in entertainment (TV & film) and an experience of social media. Responsibilities include: - Help mentor a diverse team of visual designers and video editors, encouraging a culture of creativity, and professional growth. - Attend daily/regular reviews with your project team (VP, Creative +) to ensure the work is top-level. - Attend weekly huddles within the design community, including monthly motion meet-ups. - Attend monthly meetings with the Creative and Experience Network. - Present and convey your design ideas to a team, VP of Creative and clients - Produce high-quality original assets to a brief that are unmatched in originality and execution and adapt existing assets where required. - Create a range of design solutions - all on brief, in collaboration with the creative leads. - Tailor assets for multiple social media platforms, ensuring content is engaging and platform-specific.
Must have:
  • 5+ years of experience in creative roles within the agency environment
  • Expertise working with teams and outputting exceptional creative work
  • Expertise in conceptualizing and realizing integrated campaigns
  • Expertise with Adobe Creative Suite, primarily After Effects, Premiere Pro
  • Excellent knowledge of post-production workflows
  • Proficient as an editor and in motion design
  • A safe pair of hands with a firm grasp on how to edit and design motion graphics
  • A whiz at Adobe Suite and Figma with understanding and skills in After Effects and Premiere

Job Description

We're looking for a Designer with light editing skills to enhance video projects with visually compelling graphics and refined aesthetics. You will create engaging content for always-on social media channels for one of the world's most well-known brands.

Reporting to our Head of Production and VP of Creative, this role is ideal for a creative editor/designer with experience in entertainment (TV & film) and an experience of social media.

This is a hybrid role based in Los Angeles, CA. The salary range for this role is $64,000-75,000 USD.

Responsibilities:

  • Help mentor a diverse team of visual designers and video editors, encouraging a culture of creativity, and professional growth.
  • Attend daily/regular reviews with your project team (VP, Creative +) to ensure the work is top-level.
  • Attend weekly huddles within the design community, including monthly motion meet-ups.
  • Attend monthly meetings with the Creative and Experience Network.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of significant experience in creative roles within the agency environment, showcasing a history of elevating major brands through art and design.
  • A robust portfolio displaying a range of creative projects in the entertainment industry
  • Expertise working with teams and outputting exceptional creative work, with a special focus on mastering both static and motion design.
  • Expertise in conceptualizing and realizing integrated campaigns that engage and captivate across diverse media and channels.
  • Expertise with Adobe Creative Suite, primarily After Effects, Premiere Pro, and familiarity with the latest video production technologies.
  • Excellent knowledge of post-production workflows.
  • Proficient as an editor and in motion design, with a hunger to always stay on the front foot of design trends and technology.
  • A safe pair of hands with a firm grasp on how to edit and design motion graphics over live action for social-first content. You know short-form video best practices and have a versatile and elevated eye.
  • A whiz at Adobe Suite and Figma with understanding and skills in After Effects and Premiere.
  • Brand experienced; you know when to add their style but can design within the right boundaries.
