As a Desktop Support Engineer at YouGov, you will be an integral part of the IT team, providing technical support to staff. Your responsibilities will include diagnosing and resolving technical problems, managing IT service desk requests, assisting with user onboarding and offboarding, maintaining security solutions, recommending hardware and software upgrades, installing and configuring workstations, and managing IT inventory. You will be supporting the staff in the office. The company is a global online research company and believes in making opinions heard. YouGov has a strong reputation for providing accurate data. Must Have:
  • Experience in a technical support environment.
  • Excellent English communication skills.
  • Experience supporting Microsoft Windows and Office.
  • Good knowledge of Windows Server operating systems.
  • Understanding of network environments (TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, DHCP, DNS, VPN).
  • BSc/BA in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.

Join our growing IT team as a Desktop Support Engineer in our office in Airoli, Navi Mumbai.
In this role, you will provide technical support to our staff by analysing their requirements, resolving problems, installing hardware and software solutions, and supporting our internal IT Helpdesk.


Responsibilities

· Help staff to diagnose and resolve any technical problems
· Monitor and respond quickly and effectively to IT service desk requests and prioritising these requests as needed
· Assist with the onboarding process of new users and the offboarding process of users leaving YouGov
· Help maintain security solutions such as antivirus, mobile device management and patch management for company devices
· Recommend, schedule and perform improvements, upgrades, and/or purchases to end user machines
· Install, maintain and troubleshoot smart phones, tablets and other mobile devices
· Install, test and configure new workstations, peripheral equipment and software
· Maintain inventory of all equipment, software and software licenses
· Modify configurations, utilities, software default settings, etc. for the company devices
· Provide support and assistance to staff working in on our Virtual Desktop Infrastructure.

Requirements

· Experience working in a technical support environment
· Excellent English communication skills
· Experience supporting Microsoft Windows 7, 8.1 and 10 operating systems, Microsoft Office, Office 365, Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange
· Good working knowledge of Windows Server operating systems
· Understanding of network environments (TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, DHCP, DNS, VPN)
· BSc/BA in IT, Computer Science or relevant field
