Job Description

Our client, a leading bank in Asia with a global network spanning 19 countries, is seeking Consultants to join a project in their newly established technology center in Kuala Lumpur. This role is part of the Technology and Operations function, focusing on delivering innovative financial technology solutions to drive business growth and technology transformation. The bank has over 80 years of history and is expanding its presence in Malaysia. The consultant will be responsible for core banking development within the Silverlake Loans & Credit domain, working with technologies such as DevOps and ALDON for AS400 software deployment. The role also involves working on systems supporting lending products, managing counterparty credit limits, collateral management, and financial provision calculations for loans.

The Technology and Operations function is comprised of five teams of specialists with distinct capabilities: business partnership, technology, operations, risk governance and planning support and services. They work closely together to harness the power of technology to support our physical and digital banking services and operations. This includes developing, centralising and standardising technology systems as well as banking operations in Malaysia and overseas branches.

The client has more than 80 years of history in the banking industry and is expanding its footprint in Malaysia.
The selected resource will be working in a newly setup technology centre located in Kuala Lumpur as part of Technology and Operations to deliver innovative financial technology solutions that enable business growth and technology transformation.

Responsibilities

Developer for Core Banking (Sliverlake Loans & Credit)

To work on:

DevOps

ALDON (automation of software deployment on AS400)

Silverlake

Loans (systems that support lending products across the Bank for both the Retail and Wholesale business)

Limits (systems that manage counterparty credit limits at a relationship level both regionally and globally)

Collaterals (systems that support the lodgement, revaluation and release process for collaterals and related documents being held at Bank for secured loans)

Provisioning (systems that support the calculation of IFRS9 and Non-performing Loans (NPL) financial provision for performing and non-performing loans)
