Job Role:

Primary responsibility will be to work in line with a systematic solution which fits best across the technical, operational, and management standards. This individual will have to deal with the difficulties in the given system by handling all the issues by implementing the strategies which are in line with the DevOps best practices. This individual will serve the “PS Engineer III” role on an Agile team on NCR Retail/R10 Program. R10 solution in Retail product line for NCR is aggressively expand its cloud footprint for both legacy and cloud native solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Work on Infrastructure provisioning scripts for deployment on Azure/ GCP
• Assess server storage and infrastructure, capacity planning and management
• Design load balancing and clustering solutions according to architecture standards
• Maintain and improve on existing deployment script on Cloud using Helm or related framework.
• You will initiate and contribute to continuous improvement of our software delivery processes and practices in a multi-location, multidisciplinary team to empower and accelerate product development
• You will be responsible for maintaining and scaling production services and servers for complex and high throughput cloud services.
• You will bridge and own the union between development, quality, security, and operations
• You will improve scalability, service reliability, capacity, and performance.
• Develop, maintain, and optimize software build scripts, build agents, and other CI and CD automations.
• You will be key in disaster recovery planning and execution
• You’ll work together with all teams to ship our code to production using Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) and AppSec tooling.
• You will collaborate with development teams and use intuition, experience and understanding to create SLIs, SLOs, and SLAs
• Responsible for maintaining cloud networking services such as Azure VPNs, Google Cloud VPNs, Azure vWan, VNETs and VPCs (including Shared VPCs).
• Evaluating, implementing and streamlining DevOps practices.
• Identifying price optimization opportunities and providing feasible solution to existing solutions
• Work on CICD Pipeline to support customer deployment automation
  
  

Ideal Technical & Professional Skills:

• BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field or 9 years prior relevant experience.
• Minimum 6+ year experience using Jenkins, Artifactory or building the application using CI tool.
• Minimum 5+ year experience with cloud virtualization and PaaS
• Minimum 4+ year experience with AWS/GCP/Azure (any one of them)
• Minimum 6+ year experience with Docker, Kubernetes, on-prem and/or hybrid cloud computing
• Must have experience with either Azure or GCP
• Must be an expert in scripting languages like PowerShell, Batch, Perl, Go, JavaScript (i.e., min 2 of them)
• Must have experience in deployment of microservices
• Proficient in using builds tools like maven, npm and ant
• Must be an expert in cloud networks and firewalls. Capable of setting up an environment with different Subnets, Firewall setting, NSG Rules, LBs / Gateway configs
• Must have experience with Infrastructure scripting - Terraform/ARM Template etc.
• Must have experience in orchestration, automation, and configuration management tools like Ansible (or Puppet, Chef, Terraform, Helm or related technology)
• Must have experience with Distributed Database & Message Queues (Cassandra, Elasticsearch or Kafka etc.)
• Must have experience on GitHub or any subversion and Release pipeline support.
• Experience with Cloud migration projects is a plus.
• Should have experience on alert and monitoring tools in cloud environment
• Should have experience in mentoring the new interns.
• Should have exposure to security monitoring, DevSecOps concepts.
• Extra bonus points for Cloud/DevOps/Kubernetes related certifications.
