Job Description

As a Senior DevOps Engineer at Paytm, you will work with Architecture, DevOps, and Engineering teams to set up and manage CI/CD pipelines. You'll be hands-on, implementing changes and ensuring operational stability. Responsibilities include building, deploying, and operating infrastructure and applications on AWS, Kubernetes, and Docker, using tools like Ansible, Puppet, Prometheus, and Terraform. You will also mentor junior developers and report to management, ensuring smooth software deployments through scripting and diagnostics. Experience with Linux, shell scripting, and CI/CD tools is essential.

Must have:

3+ years overall experience, 2+ years DevOps experience
AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, Ansible, Puppet, Prometheus, Terraform
Linux OS/application installation and configuration
Shell/Bash/Python scripting
CI/CD tools: Kubernetes, Jenkins/Bamboo/GitLab
Mentoring junior developers

Good to have:

Chef/Puppet/Ansible, Maven/Nexus
Azure/Google Cloud experience

About the role: He/She/They must have the ability work with Architecture governance, DevOps and Engineering teams to set up the CICD pipeline. Must be hands-on to implement the changes to the pipeline and operationally manage the same.

Expectations/ Requirements

● Education qualification: BE/ B.tech/ MCA/ M.tech.

● 3+ years of overall experience.

● 2+ years of relevant experience in Devops.

● Should have experience in AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, Ansible, Puppet, Prometheus and Terraform.

● Linux OS/application installation and configuration.

● Shell/Bash/Python scripting.

● Experience in building, deploying and operating infrastructure and applications.

● Cloud experience: AWS (Azure/Google Cloud).

● CI/CD tools: Kubernetes, Jenkins/Bamboo/GitLab

● Chef/Puppet/Ansible, Maven/Nexus.

● Ability to oversee and mentor junior software developers, as well as report to management.

● Ability to ensure smooth software deployment by writing script updates and running diagnostics.
