Barracuda is seeking a skilled DevOps Senior Engineer to manage software product releases for our MSP division. This role involves managing the entire release process, collaborating with engineers, QA, and DevOps teams. Responsibilities include planning releases, automating builds with CI/CD pipelines, managing source code, testing software, deploying to production, and creating documentation. The engineer will also participate in security audits and minimal on-call duties. This role requires strong technical expertise and experience in building systems, scripting, and deploying tools.

We’re looking for a skilled DevOps Senior Engineer with a strong background in release engineering to manage the delivery of software products for our MSP division. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the release of software products from start to finish, working closely with software engineers, QA, and Ops/DevOps teams to ensure every release is on time and reliable.
What you’ll be working on:
- Planning: Define the steps required to release software, including build rules, testing, and deployment
- Automation: Set up build automation servers and CI/CD pipelines
- Version control: Manage source code in version control applications like Git
- Testing: Ensure that software builds are properly tested
- Deployment: Implement software programs into the production environment
- Documentation: Prepare reports and documentation
- Share in some minimal on-call duty work
- Participate with a larger team in security and access audits
What you bring to the role:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related fields.
- 5+ years of experience in a related engineering role and background in software development.
- Strong technical expertise in building systems, scripting, and deploying tools
- Experience working with Windows, Linux, and Azure environments
- Skilled in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, Git, GitHub, and GitHub Actions
- Proficient in scripting with Bash, PowerShell, and Groovy
- Familiarity with Java, C++, .NET, NAnt, MSBuild, and IIS
- Experience with tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and Argo CD
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and deliver technical updates.

The anticipated on-target earnings range for this role is CAD 105,000 to CAD 120,000. Actual compensation offered will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, and qualifications as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, the budget for the position, and applicable employment laws.
