Job Responsibilities:

• Applies modern DevOps practices, under a moderate level of guidance and direction, to develop, deliver and operate secure and resilient systems and infrastructure.

• Owns more complex specific development activities and assists in the architecture design function.

• Formulates & implements strategic direction, plus contributes to architecture, design & governance functions.

• Owns, leads & guides on all types of functional and project streams of work.

• Collaborates with client, project, support, and product development teams to enable rapid build, consistent and timely deployment, coupled with operational support of various complex of secure low maintenance cloud hosted systems and infrastructures.

• Mentor and provide guidance to Junior team members.

• Contributes to ongoing continuous improvement programs to drive automation and leverage the latest technologies and techniques to deliver the best service to our clients.

• Think holistically about systems, solutions, implementations to resolve problems.

• Based in/near Bangkok works flexible hours within a remote working environment with global teams.

• English speaking role within a Thai and multi-regional team.

Qualifications

Technical

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mgmt. Information System or related field.

• Proficiency in scripting (shell, bash, groovy, python).

• Working knowledge in CI/CD practices.

• Cloud Monitoring, maintenance and troubleshooting skills.

• For Sr. DevOps Engineer

  • 4+ years’ experience with cloud systems, ideally in a DevOps or Engineering role.

  • In-depth understanding of Infrastructure as Code design, principles and tooling.

  • Cloud Security (Architecture and/or Engineering) experience.

• For DevOps Engineer

  • 2+ years’ experience with cloud systems, ideally in a DevOps or Engineering role.

  • Understanding of Infrastructure as Code design, principles and tooling.

Soft Skills

• An aptitude for problem solving.

• Good team player who contributes and collaborates with ideas and solutions.

• Capable of self-motivation and direction, able to work flexibly with minimal guidance.

• Willingness to continually learn and adopt new skills and technologies.

• Good client facing and communication skills.

• Effective in technical documentation writing.

• Adept at applying the principles of frugal AWS architecture.

Advantageous, but not a must

• Jenkins CI/CD automation implementation and execution.

• JBoss, Tomcat Java application servers understanding.

• Oracle (administration) and SQL skills.

• Packer development experience.

• Terraform IaC experience.

• AWS Certified.

• Understanding of micro-services frameworks & Kubernetes.

• Linux administration ability.
