Job Description

ASIC Product Division is seeking a DFT Manager to lead a team of DFT Engineers at their San Jose Design Center. This role involves managing DFT programs from pre-sales through design, silicon execution, and product release, including post-production support. The manager will drive first-time right silicon, test vectors, and NPI, ensuring high production quality and efficient resolution of silicon issues. Responsibilities also include developing and standardizing DFT methodologies, maximizing team productivity, and fostering strong internal and external partnerships to minimize test costs and maximize yield.
Must have:
  • Manage & lead a group of DFT Engineers in San Jose working on full chip and/or IP DFT & Test vector generation and silicon validation.
  • Drive towards 1st time right silicon, test vectors, new product introduction (NPI) and expedited ramp to production.
  • Consistently raise the bar for 1st silicon prototype & production quality and guide your team towards resolving silicon issues as fast as possible.
  • Evaluate & drive development & standardization of Industry leading DFT methodologies while collaborating with the design automation team.
  • Maximize team productivity and manage & prioritize all resources very efficiently.
  • Pro-active Execution planning & Risk mitigation.
  • Develop strong customer partnerships and support multiple different customer meetings per week.
  • Foster strong partnerships with internal Physical design teams, IP teams & GO-Test/Yield/Qual Engineering teams.
  • Drive to minimize test costs (test time, test hardware, engineering etc) and maximize yield without compromising quality.
  • Foster a positive can-do attitude within the organization and create an environment where people thrive having clear ownership and accountability.
  • Work towards establishing and maintaining high morale despite business challenges.
  • Occasional travel to customer or internal sites as well as several weekly evening meetings with overseas teams.
Good to have:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering with 15+ years of hands-on DFT.
  • Management degrees, certifications, and experience.

ASIC Product Division is seeking candidates for a position at our Design Center. As a , you will lead a group of highly performing DFT Engineers working on delivering high quality custom silicon products to our customers. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading DFT programs all the way from pre-sales through to design & silicon execution and successfully releasing products to production as well as post-production support.

Responsibilities:

  • You’ll manage & lead a group of DFT Engineers working on full chip and/or IP DFT & Test vector generation and silicon validation
  • You’ll drive towards 1st time right silicon, test vectors, new product introduction (NPI) and expedited ramp to production
  • You’ll consistently raise the bar for 1st silicon prototype & production quality and guide your team towards resolving silicon issues as fast as possible
  • You’ll evaluate & drive development & standardization of Industry leading DFT methodologies while collaborating with the design automation team within the division
  • You’ll maximize team productivity and manage & prioritize all resources very efficiently
  • Pro-active Execution planning & Risk mitigation will be on your forefront
  • You’ll develop strong customer partnerships and support multiple different customer meeting per week
  • Your strong partnerships with internal Physical design teams, IP teams & GO-Test/Yield/Qual Engineering teams will matter the most for enabling successful tape outs and customer proto/production shipments
  • You’ll drive to minimize test costs (test time, test hardware, engineering etc) and maximize yield without compromising quality
  • You’ll foster a positive can-do attitude within the organization and create an environment where people thrive having clear ownership and accountability
  • You’ll work towards establishing and maintaining high morale despite business challenges
  • Your job will require occasional travel to customer or internal sites as well as several weekly evening meetings with overseas teams

Education & Experience:

  • Minimum Requirements: At least 15 years of overall experience, including a minimum of 5 years in management.
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering with 15+ years of hands-on DFT.
  • Preferred: Management degrees, certifications, and experience

Compensation and Benefits

The annual base salary range for this position is $163,800 - $262,000

This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in accordance with relevant plan documents, and equity in accordance with equity plan documents and equity award agreements.
