Job Description & Summary

The Innovation Team is at the core of innovation and emerging technology development, discovery, deployment and support activity. Our team is leading the effort to digitally enable our business. Our mission is to develop disruptive & innovative technologies and products that drive the evolution of how we deliver our services now and in the future. The key technology domains we are currently focused on include business process automation, data curation, industrialized analytics, machine learning & AI and scalable delivery platform.

As a Data Engineer, you will work in a team together with Data Scientists, Software Engineers and Product Managers to drive Innovation and Technical solutions into practice. Data Engineers will focus on the design and build out of data models, codification of business rules, mapping of data sources to the data models (structured and unstructured), engineering of scalable ETL pipelines, development of data quality solutions, and continuous evaluation of technologies to continue to enhance the capabilities of the Data Engineer team and broader Innovation group. You'll focus on assisting them as they incorporate increased automation, machine learning, data & analytics, commercial and open source technologies into their processes to deliver better quality output and contribute more strategically to organizational decision making.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills:
Functional Skills:
• Hands on experience with Data management as per
business requirements for Analytics or audit analytics
• Experience in dealing with financial data, journal entry
testing, performing data analytics for business processes.
• Experience in performing data transformation (ETL),
data quality checks and data blending.
• Demonstrates thorough knowledge and understanding
of performing on project teams and providing deliverables
• Involving multiphase data analysis related to the
evaluation of compliance, finance, and risk issues.
• Good communication skill with the ability to
communicate both verbally and written.
• Able to manage compliance and other related matters
for self and for the team.
Technical Tools:
Must have:
• Hands-on experience with MS-SQL/Python/SAS/Alteryx/
ACL or other structured query language.
• Demonstrates thorough knowledge and/or a proven record of
success leveraging data manipulation and analysis technologies
inclusive of Microsoft SQL Server, SQL, Oracle, or DB2.
• Demonstrates thorough knowledge and/or a proven record of
success leveraging data visualisation tools such as Power BI and
Tableau.
• Demonstrate knowledge in Excel and its functionality
Good to have
• Experience in a similar role in their current profile.
• Good accounting knowledge and experience in dealing with
financial data is a plus.
• Knowledge of Knime/ Cobol/C#/Shell/PERL/SAP ABAP
scripts is a plus
