Job Description

As a Digital Design Engineer at Cirrus Logic, you will be part of a team developing digital logic circuits and digital filters for mixed-signal audio converters, amplifiers, and more. Your responsibilities include RTL module implementation, functional verification, and supporting activities from concept to mass production. You will design digital subsystems and contribute to high-performance mixed-signal ICs. The role involves working in a team environment and supporting post-silicon activities. You will also be involved in designing next-generation devices and ensuring leading consumer electronics manufacturers can easily integrate our devices into their products. You will work on designs with Verilog, logic simulation, functional verification, synthesis of DSP and data conversion IC’s in a mixed signal environment.

Must have:

Bachelor’s degree in electrical or computer engineering.
Knowledge of digital design flow and ASIC verification.
Familiarity with CMOS VLSI Design.
Working knowledge of Verilog RTL language.
Ability to modify and write RTL from scratch.
Strong oral and written communication skills.

Good to have:

Master’s degree or PhD in electrical/computer engineering.
Experience with low power and high performance mixed-signal ASIC design.
Expertise in DSP or Microprocessor & State Machine design.
Experience with MATLAB and algorithm development.

As Digital Design Engineer, you will be part of a collaborative team developing digital logic circuits and digital filters for applications including Mixed Signal Audio converters and amplifiers, Embedded SoC, Power/Energy Management, and high precision Industrial/Data Acquisition products. You will play a meaningful role in developing next-generation devices and ensuring that leading consumer electronics manufacturers can easily integrate our devices into their products.

Responsibilities

Design using Verilog, logic simulation, functional verification, and synthesis of DSP and data conversion IC’s in a mixed signal environment.
Implement RTL modules.
Perform integration and integrated functional verification.
Perform behavioral modeling of analog and mixed signal circuits, vector generation testing, and lab test development.
Work from concept to mass production in a team environment to design digital subsystems that form the core of our high-performance mixed-signal ICs.
Support tape-out and post-silicon activities, including validation, characterization, and production test.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in electrical or computer engineering
0-5 years of industry experience.
Knowledge of digital design flow from microarchitecture, RTL design, simulation, verification, and synthesis.
Knowledge of ASIC verification.
Familiarity with CMOS VLSI Design.
Behavioral modeling of Analog Circuits.
Working knowledge of Verilog RTL language.
Ability to modify previously developed RTL and the ability to write RTL from scratch.
Strong oral and written communication skills.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

Master’s degree in electrical or computer engineering OR 3 years of industry experience; or a PhD in electrical or computer engineering.
Experience with low power and high performance mixed-signal ASIC design.
Expertise in DSP or in Microprocessor & State Machine design.
MATLAB, algorithm development, and validation/debug of silicon chip designs.
