Job Description

This role focuses on driving Azure adoption for SAP workloads within the Swiss market. As a Digital Solution Area Specialist, you'll lead virtual teams, engage with C-level executives, and build relationships to sell Microsoft's cloud solutions. Responsibilities include developing and presenting compelling business cases, managing multi-million-dollar deals, and exceeding sales quotas. You'll collaborate with SAP counterparts, partners, and internal teams to achieve business outcomes and provide feedback on product requirements and sales strategies. The position requires strong technical expertise in Azure and SAP, excellent communication skills, and fluency in German. Up to 50% remote work is possible.

In SMC and Digital Sales, we have set out with the purpose of empowering our customers through the unique value of the Microsoft cloud by building a globally led, digital-first scale organization aligned with partners. Dedicated to one of the fastest growing customer segments, the Small, Medium, Corporate (SMC) and Digital Sales organization is on pace to be Microsoft's next $100 billion-dollar business - this is where you come in.

 

As an Azure SAP Specialist, you are a business leader with technical expertise working with our most important managed customers. You will lead a virtual team of sales, technical, and services resources to help customers realize digital transformation through cloud computing achieve/exceed quarterly Azure Infrastructure consumption targets for related workloads in your assigned accounts. You possess both a high EQ with executive presence, able to engage with senior decision makers to uncover digital transformation initiatives, and a passion to learning how Azure cloud services can deliver digital transformation. You will develop and maintain an Azure Infrastructure expertise, able to identify projects, build a compelling business case, and drive the consumption project to production. You will build and maintain relationships with customers, influence long-term strategic direction and act as a trusted advisor driving engagement at the CXO level with technology decision makers. You will help customers evaluate their cloud strategy, determine approaches to application and data migration and modernization, and recommend solutions that meet their requirements.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Fluent German is essential
  • Solid technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience
  • Experience working wuth SAP and Azure/other cloud based tech. 

 

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • Azure Certifications: Microsoft Azure Administrator (AZ-104) and/or Designing Microsoft Azure Infrastructure Solutions (Exam AZ-305)
  • Deep domain knowledge in Data Center Migration

Position is based in: Dublin, Ireland or Barcelona, Spain

Responsibilities

  • You will lead business level dialogue with customers around the SAP workloads, including Business transformation for enterprise computing and digital transformation, creating “buy-in” vision with key CxO decision makers by building executive relationships to generate excitement around Microsoft solutions’ value to influence long-term strategic direction around SAP workloads
  • Engage and jointly sell with SAP counterparts, Partners and Priority ISVs to maximize business results by bringing together Microsoft and Partner solutions to deliver against customer business outcomes leveraging assets across Microsoft, SAP Architects, Product Teams and Engineering. You will brief Microsoft Executives around complex sales opportunities, including competitive strategies and close plans to engage customers with joint value positioning
  • You will influence the Microsoft Azure SAP GTM strategies by providing feedback to the leadership team, marketing, and engineering on current and future product requirements and sales blockers. You will be recognized for sharing, learning and driving work that results in business impact for customers, partners and Microsoft.  We encourage thought leadership, and we encourage all our employees to continuously maintain and enhance their technical, sales, professional skills and competitive readiness.   • You will lead multi-million-dollar deals, requiring orchestration of virtual teams composed of industry, solution, technical, licensing & legal team members as well as SI and ISV partners.
  • Drive Sales Excellence: Exceed sales / cloud consumption quota by driving pipeline management and accurate forecasting.
