The R&D Director should have professional qualifications with extensive work experience and advanced people management/interpersonal skills. This is a leadership position, with high accountability, responsible for identifying its function’s linkages across the organization and developing appropriate processes and road maps for the function. S/he should be an expert in Agile Product development with in-depth knowledge of multiple products and able to evaluate, choose and implement processes.
Responsibilities
- Lead Agile development group while reporting to our VP R&D
- Contribute to system architecture and product roadmap
- Mentoring and supporting Scrum team leaders and developers with their day-to-day work
- Manage outsourcing and communication with technology partners
Requirements
- BSc in Engineering/Computer Science
- At least 8 years of Scrum development management track record through all phases of development, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
- At least 5 years of training and leading Scrum team leaders through all phases of development
- At least 5 years of Experience building customer-facing applications deployed on a cloud environment (AWS, Google, or similar)
