This position is for a Director of Software Technical Product Management at Illumina.   • Leadership role in the Software Product Management Team responsible for software products at Illumina
  • Lead the definition, development, positioning, and marketing of multiple software products at Illumina
  • Work with customers, sales teams, marketing, finance, and software development to deliver the best products for customers
Requirements:
  • 15+ years of experience in the software product development, 7+ years in customer facing product management or solution roles.
  • BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Life Sciences, or related technical fields.
  • Good knowledge / experience with software development process; mentors others in an effort to improve development process more broadly
  • Strong people skills
  • Proven ability across multiple projects to deliver great products on-time and on-budget with an attention to every detail. Your creations should be elegant, robust, and excite our customers. You must show yourself to be a master craftsman and artist at what you do
  • A pragmatic problem-solver who can identify the essence of a problem and deliver simple, elegant solutions to that problem
  • Ability to hire and develop the right product management talent for our product teams
  • Experience with software products for Life Science and/or Clinical customer segments.
#LI-HYBRID The estimated base salary range for the Director, Software Technical Product Management role based in the United States of America is: $201,100 - $301,700. Should the level or location of the role change during the hiring process, the applicable base pay range may be updated accordingly. Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications, location where the role is to be performed, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Additionally, all employees are eligible for one of our variable cash programs (bonus or commission) and eligible roles may receive equity as part of the compensation package.
