Job Description

This position, Director, Theatrical Finance & Administration, involves managing exhibitor accounts, including sales meetings and credit ratings, and handling accounts receivable. Responsibilities include invoicing, payment application, and account reconciliation. The role also includes managing audits, preparing reports, and overseeing the lockbox balancing process. Database queries, ad hoc reports, database administration, and software application support are integral aspects of the job. This role requires strong accounting and analytical skills and offers an opportunity to contribute to the financial operations of the Domestic Theatrical Distribution department.
Must have:
  • Manage exhibitor accounts for a sales division.
  • Handle accounts receivable and invoicing.

  • Perform database queries and ad hoc reports.
  • Provide software application support.

Summary of Position

Lionsgate has an immediate opening for the Director, Theatrical Finance & Administration in the Domestic Theatrical Distribution department. This position will report directly to the Senior Vice President of Theatrical Finance & Administration.

Responsibilities

  • Managing exhibitor accounts for a sales division (Includes weekly sales meetings, maintaining credit ratings, managing account holds for theatrical releases) 
  • Accounts receivable (Invoicing exhibitors, applying payments, reconciling accounts)
  • Managing audits, processing custom report queries, and month-end reporting (Can occur on weekends and after business hours), and overseeing the daily lockbox balancing process with the accounting department
  • Database queries and ad hoc reports
  • Database administration and exhibitor account set up (Includes generating and processing license agreements)
  • Software application support (testing and implementation of application upgrades, database validation and general application support for department users)

Qualifications and Skills

  • Highly motivated and resourceful, with strong accounting, analytical, organizational and interpersonal skills
  • C.P.A, or a minimum of 2-5 years of accounting or accounts receivable experience
  • A strong understanding of databases, interfaces and applications is a must, with prior experience in application testing and documentation preferred
  • Advanced MS Excel experience is required

Compensation

$120,000 - $135,000
