CORSAIR seeks a DIY Marketing Manager in Tokyo to plan, develop, and execute marketing strategies for PC components and other product lines in the Japanese market. Responsibilities include market analysis, competitor analysis, developing regional communication content (website, videos, newsletters), managing marketing budgets, and collaborating with cross-functional teams (PR, technical marketing, community marketing). The ideal candidate possesses extensive knowledge of the Japanese market, strong communication skills (Japanese and English fluency), and a proven track record of successful marketing campaigns within the PC hardware sector. They should be able to bring products to market, particularly custom-made regional products, and plan campaigns targeting PSUs, Cases, and Cooling.

Job Description

General Purpose:

CORSAIR is currently seeking a new Marketing Manager to plan, develop, and oversee the implementation of effective marketing strategies, programs, and initiatives in Japan. Your main responsibility will be to determine the overall marketing direction and planning. Additionally, you will be responsible for monitoring the performance of ongoing marketing activities and fine-tuning existing campaigns to maximize ROI.

We expect you to create efficient marketing plans and strategies that generate sales, track and interpret key performance metrics, manage all external and internal communications, and oversee the development of marketing materials.

You should be capable of finding innovative ways to attract new leads, implementing loyalty campaigns to secure customer retention, and communicating program data results and performance predictions to cross-functional teams within the organization.

Position Summary, Responsibilities and Expectations:

  • Ability to run marketing programs within Japan, focusing on PC Components as the main aim but with ability to execute specific initiatives for other product lines. 
  • Ability to provide technical insight, working with the technical marketing team on their areas of expertise to generate professional discussions, content and initiatives. 
  • Ability to bring products to market (GTM), especially for custom-made regional products. As well as to plan campaigns targeting PSUs, Cases and Cooling to compete with market leaders. 
  • Plan and develop specific regional communication content including website PDP, videos, newsletters, E-commerce contents ...etc.
  • Ability to do analysis of the market to ensure that the above is directly focused on the Japanese market needs, competitor analysis and landscape overview. 
  • Ability to devise and work with cross function teams to increase technical consumer engagement. To liaise with external customers and internally with the PR, Technical marketing, Community marketing teams to ensure that we continue to push current initiatives and push them further. 
  • Stay up-to-date with shifting industry trends, client demographics and expectations, and key stakeholders' requirements.
  • Identify and track relevant performance indicators to ensure alignment with company goals and make recommendations for improvement opportunities.
  • Develop and oversee the implementation of an overarching marketing strategy that encompasses all media and communication channels.
  • Allocate the marketing budget and other resources to ensure maximum cost-efficiency.

Essential Skills and Experience:

The successful candidate will have a marketing/PR qualification, be a self-starter, motivated, reliable and be able to work by themselves as well as a positive and can-do attitude.

  • Marketing experience within the PC hardware sector is a must.
  • Extensive knowledge of the Japanese market, resellers, media partners and such. 
  • Fluency in Japanese and English is a requirement, with good verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies and campaigns.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams, external partners, and customers.
  • Excellent time-management and multitasking capabilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capability to translate data and insights into actionable recommendations.
  • 3-5 years of experiences in PR agency or IT company is a plus.
  • Be a local candidate in Tokyo area, no relocation available.
