Job Description

As the e-Commerce Manager for Wizards of the Coast in China, you will oversee the operations of the WOTC WeChat store, ensuring a positive customer experience and driving sales growth. You will work closely with local trade partners and distributors to implement marketing strategies, manage inventory, and deliver a seamless online shopping experience. Your responsibilities include: * Developing and executing the annual business plan for the WeChat store in collaboration with the APAC e-Commerce manager. * Ensuring the proper merchandising of products, adhering to brand guidelines, and exceeding service level agreements. * Partnering with the marketing team to create localized content, promote the MTG WeChat store, and integrate it into broader marketing campaigns. * Planning and executing digital campaigns, monitoring performance metrics, and providing insights on local trends and market dynamics. * Building and maintaining strong relationships with marketplaces and trade partners.
Must Have:
  • Strong e-commerce background with 5+ years experience working with trade partners and marketplaces (TMALL/JD)
  • Experience working in major e-commerce platforms (e.g., Alibaba, JD) or with trade partners
  • Experience in the Entertainment and/or Games industry
  • Native Chinese
  • Fluent in Business English - written and spoken
  • Strong commercial & negotiation skills
  • Strong influencing skills
  • Excellent planning ability
  • Organized and self-starter
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Team player
  • Degree level education in a business, commerce, marketing, or sales-related field

What Is This Role About?
- Base in China, this role will oversee the running of Wizards of the coast (WOTC) wechat store
- Make recommendations in the development of China e-Commerce strategy and execute them

 

Day to Day Responsibilities For This Wizard:
- Implement and monitor full year business plan with trade partner/distributor as developed by APAC e-Commerce manager
- Work with trade partner/distributor to ensure appropriate SKU is merchandised on WOTC online channel(s), ensure WOTC brand(s) is/are presented according to our branding philosophy and a positive customer experience is delivered to players by meeting the agreed service level
- Work with marketing team to provide localized content for trade partner/distributor, to promote MTG wechat store by designing content to commerce tactics, to include wechat store into wider marketing activities
- Plan digital campaigns and monitor digital spend on platform and relevant external platform
- Prepare sales report, review campaign performance (e.g: Traffic, PV, conversion rate, ROI on media spend) and provides analysis that includes local insights and quarterly China ecommerce trend update
- Build strong & close partnership relationship with the various marketplaces and trade partner/distributor

 

Experience Creating and Casting these Spells:
- Strong ecommerce background with 5+ years experience in working with a trade partner and marketplaces (TMALL/JD) 
- Experience working in major ecommerce platform (e.g: Alibaba, JD) or trade partner
- Experience in the Entertainment and/or Games industry is a plus

 

Knowledge, Abilities and Characteristics of the Ideal Wizard:
