Editor - Gaming News Website

TheGameNomad (https://thegamenomad.com) is a news and media website for PC and console games. It envisages to focus on the video games industry and deliver timely, credible and engaging content to gamers around the world.

We are looking for a talented and passionate Editor to guide the overall content strategy and execution on a daily basis. The individual will identify trends, breaking news in the gaming industry; key upcoming games and planning content around it; and will be responsible for increasing organic traffic and overall brand credibility, authority and presence. The ideal candidate would have donned these hats in various other gaming websites before and comes with at-least 3 years of been there-done that

Key responsibilities

. Help prepare and execute monthly content calendar, ensure proper implementation including making changes to it as required.

· Stay updated on all new happenings and news in the gaming industry

· Ensure timely publication of breaking news and all content including day 1 release of reviews, guides

· Keep track of all new upcoming game launches, cover and create content around pre-game releases

· Adhere to the ethical code of the profession

Requirements

· Minimum 3 years of work experience in an editorial role in a previous gaming website is a must

· Ability to meet deadlines and accurately fact-check information.

· Excellent command over English, and so is a passion for writing

· It is highly preferred that the individual is a gamer as well – someone who understands the gaming world

. Excellent networking skills and connections across studios, publishers to be able to get access to news, tips and leaks

This is a contract-based, remote work opportunity.

Job Type: Contract
Contract length: 3 months

Salary: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
