Job Description

As an Email Marketing Specialist, you will be responsible for creating engaging digital content and communication campaigns. This involves designing and coding mobile-responsive email templates, setting up dynamic content, and ensuring campaigns are well-executed and optimized. You will also analyze and report on email marketing initiatives, troubleshoot technical issues, and stay updated on email marketing trends. The role requires a proactive approach in identifying opportunities and mitigating potential risks. This role will have a positive impact across the business and the wider sector. You'll also take on meaningful challenges that see a positive impact across the business and the wider sector.
Must have:
  • Background in Email Marketing or a related field.
  • Confident working with web technologies like HTML and CSS.
  • Understand the basics of responsive design.
  • Familiar with cross-browser testing and optimization.
  • Portfolio of design work demonstrating creative thinking.
  • Grasp of UI/UX principles.
  • Comfortable using Adobe Creative Cloud tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and organized approach.
  • Clear communication and teamwork skills.

Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Job type: Full time, FTC (1 year)- Hybrid


This position offers a hybrid work model, allowing flexibility between working from home and our office.

Typically, employees are expected to work 2 days in the office per week.

As an Email Marketing Specialist, this is what you’ll be doing:


In today's digital landscape, email marketing remains one of the most powerful touchpoints for meaningful customer engagement.

We're looking for an Email Marketing Specialist who understands the strategic value of well-executed campaigns designed to drive results. Join our team and help us turn everyday inboxes into powerful channels of engagement and conversion.


Role Responsibilities: 


The Email Marketing Specialist will be responsible for creating enticing digital pieces and communication campaigns by utilising email marketing best practices where applicable within the daily responsibilities:

 

  • Designing and coding mobile responsive emails/ templates from concept into functional designs and adhere to best practices.
  • Set up dynamic content elements to create personalised emails at scale.
  • QA and troubleshoot email campaigns across multiple platforms, browsers and email clients.
  • Implement execution of email marketing campaigns and flows.
  • Stay ahead of email marketing trends and be an ambassador for email marketing best practices.
  • Aid in the analysis and reporting of email marketing initiatives.
  • Monitor email campaigns, verifying deliverability, open rate and overall campaign metrics.
  • Troubleshoot coding issues and bugs related to marketing automation.
  • Proactively define and communicate potential opportunities and risks with stakeholders.
  • An interest in all aspects of the web form development lifecycle process – from strategy to testing and deployment.
  • Any other duties that fall within the scope and purpose of the role.

Key skills and experience


We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has a background in Email Marketing or a related field - this could be through formal education, self-teaching, or practical experience.
  • Is confident working with web technologies like HTML and CSS.
  • Understands the basics of responsive design and designing for different devices.
  • Is familiar with and has experience of cross-browser testing and optimisation.
  • Can share a portfolio of design work that demonstrates creative thinking and problem-solving.
  • Has a good grasp of UI/UX principles and how to design with users in mind.
  • Is comfortable using Adobe Creative Cloud tools such as Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator, or InDesign.
  • Brings strong attention to detail and is well-organised in their approach to work.
  • Communicates clearly and works well with others.
