Job Description

As an Embedded Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing complex embedded software systems, writing efficient code, debugging software issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. You will utilize version control systems, document software architectures, and mentor junior engineers, leading and implementing software development methodologies. The role requires strong technical understanding and familiarity with open standards and is suitable for candidates with relevant industry experience.

  • Strong technical understanding of C++ and Object-Oriented Programming
  • Relevant industry experience: aerospace, aviation, medical devices
  • US Citizen
Good to have:
  • Familiarity with Open Standards such as CCSDS, C2MS, OMS, and UCI

As an Embedded Software Engineer (Level III, Sr., or Principal) you will be responsible for;

  • Design, architect, and develop complex embedded software systems.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code in multiple programming languages.
  • Debug and troubleshoot intricate software issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure software meets system requirements and performance standards.
  • Utilize version control systems like Git for software development and collaboration.
  • Document software architectures, designs, specifications, and development processes.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers, promoting best practices and coding standards.
  • Lead and implement various software development methodologies such as Agile and Kanban.
  • Evaluate and integrate new technologies and tools to enhance software development processes.  

Qualifications;

  • Strong technical understanding of C++ and Object-Oriented Programming
  • Strong Preferred - Familiarity with Open Standards such as CCSDS, C2MS, Open Mission Systems (OMS), and Universal C2 Interface (UCI)
  • Relevant industry experience: aerospace, aviation, medical devices (highly regulated industries)
  • US Citizen

Salary Range: $105K-$190K

The actual salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate’s combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience 

Note: Due to the nature of the work, only US citizens need apply for this position. 

Location options: (2 days on-site in Louisville office, 3 days on-site in Centennial office)
