We are looking for Student Worker - Embedded Software Engineer to join our Field Application Engineering (FAE) team in Europe. As FAE we’re consulting our customers who count on us to convert awesome ideas into great products and services. You will work together with our team to provide extraordinary input to our customers to understand the QNX products and to come up with efficient and cutting-edge software architectures. You will gain an understanding & experience of how embedded systems are designed, how virtual machines are configured and how software is developed.

• Be an integral part of our team in Europe and work in an international environment
• Bring-up QNX operation system on-demand and state of the art embedded evaluation boards like TI TDA4, NXP iMX8/9, Intel and AMD/Xylinx
• Get familiarized with software demonstrators of trend-setting algorithms like automated parking, object detection or edge first data analysis for cloud services and AI
• Setup virtualized environments based on QNX Hypervisor product for e.g. in vehicle infotainment (IVI) based on Android or computer vision algorithms running on Linux using hardware or cloud services
• Gain experience in software engineering by participating in next generation software defined embedded systems development and architecture
• Representing BlackBerry QNX at tradeshows and events
• Knowledge of C or C++ programming language
• Basic understanding of operating systems for embedded targets
• This position is based out of the BlackBerry QNX Hannover office, Germany
