Job Description

The Endpoint Team Lead manages and improves the end-user computing environment. Responsibilities include leading and mentoring the endpoint team, testing updates for Windows and Mac, overseeing configuration and management of endpoint devices (Mac, Windows, iOS, Android), designing and implementing hardware and device management standards, collaborating with cross-functional teams, managing escalations, driving process improvements, developing and maintaining documentation, ensuring compliance with security policies, managing software distribution and patching, ensuring ITIL framework adherence, leading endpoint security initiatives, managing vendor relationships, conducting performance reviews, and providing training. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned endpoint engineer with strong leadership qualities and the ability to drive team performance.

Must have:

Job Summary:

Managing the endpoint team, the Endpoint Team Lead will be responsible for managing and improving the end-user computing environment across the organization. This role will provide leadership in endpoint management, technical escalations, and the implementation of strategic initiatives. The Endpoint Team Lead will play a key role in the design, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of secure and efficient endpoint systems for the organization, driving best practices in device management, security, and continuous service improvements. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned endpoint engineer with strong leadership qualities and the ability to drive performance and development within the team.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and mentor the Endpoint team, providing direction, technical guidance, and career development support.
Testing and validating updates for both Windows and MAC before the release to the business.
Oversee the configuration, administration, and management of Mac, Windows, iOS, and Android endpoint devices using industry-standard management tools (Intune, SCCM, etc.).
Design and implement hardware and device management standards, ensuring alignment with the organization's security policies and operational needs.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure endpoint systems are optimized for security, performance, and scalability.
Manage escalations from the EUC (End User Computing) team and provide final-tier technical support for complex hardware and application issues.
Drive process improvements, research new technologies, and implement initiatives to enhance the end-user experience and overall efficiency of the endpoint environment.
Lead the development and maintenance of technical documentation, standard operating procedures, and knowledge base resources.
Ensure compliance with organizational security policies by implementing and maintaining best practices in device and endpoint management.
Manage software distribution, application management, OS patching, firmware updates, and antivirus/malware protections.
Ensure the team follows ITIL frameworks and service management processes, contributing to change and release management in enterprise environments.
Lead endpoint system security initiatives, managing device compliance and configuration profiles, and ensuring devices meet corporate security standards.
Manage vendor relationships and third-party service providers related to endpoint management and software distribution.
Conduct regular performance reviews, setting goals and objectives for team members and providing training opportunities to enhance their technical expertise.

Technical Qualifications:

7+ years of experience in endpoint management, including hands-on expertise with Microsoft Intune, SCCM, and scripting languages (PowerShell, shell, KQL).
Certification in Microsoft MD-102: Endpoint Administrator or equivalent
Strong experience with Azure AD, hybrid environments, and integration scenarios, including Azure AD Connect Synchronization, Federated/Managed Domains, and password synchronization solutions.
In-depth experience in OS deployment, device packaging, and software distribution, with a focus on M365 and other enterprise services.
Expertise in managing Group Policy Objects (GPO), device configuration, and compliance profiles.
Experience with automated patch management and configuration management tools.
Knowledge of ITIL processes and IT service management frameworks.
Proven ability to design and implement secure endpoint management standards across multiple platforms (Windows, macOS, iOS, Android).
Strong understanding of endpoint security solutions, including antivirus, anti-malware, and remote monitoring tools.
Experience in a leadership or supervisory role, with demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a technical team.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively conveying IT policies and strategies to technical and non-technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in managing cross-functional projects or initiatives in an enterprise environment.
Knowledge of advanced security practices, including Privileged Identity Management (PIM) and Zero Trust architectures.
