Job Description

As an Engagement Manager at Google's gTech Ads, you'll be the key to delivering exceptional client experiences. You'll act as a trusted advisor, understanding clients' business needs and creating technology and media solutions. You'll collaborate with Sales to identify opportunities, secure buy-in for initiatives, and design comprehensive service plans aligning resources with client priorities. You'll orchestrate service delivery, working with internal teams and managing escalations. You'll be accountable for go-to-market strategies and execution, providing regular client updates. This role requires strong project management, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills to drive client success and unlock growth within Google's Ads products.

Job Details


Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in project management or a customer-facing role, including technical sales, sales engineering, or professional consulting.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Understanding of the web/cloud technologies and data infrastructure, translating technical concepts for all audiences.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally, building internal and external stakeholder networks to achieve strategic goals.
  • Ability to demonstrate strong technical project management, guiding cross-functional teams to deliver on plans.
  • Ability to grow in ambiguity, effectively solving complex problems within large, distributed organizations.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills, with customer objectives and innovation.

gTech Ads is responsible for all support and media and technical services for customers big and small across our entire Ad products stack. We help our customers get the most out of our Ad and Publisher products and guide them when they need help. We provide a range of services from enabling better self help and in-product support, to providing better support through interactions, setting up accounts and implementing ad campaigns, and providing media solutions for customers business and marketing needs and providing complex technical and measurement solutions along with consultative support for our large customers. These solutions range from bespoke and customized ones for our customers to scalable support for millions of customers worldwide. Based on the evolving needs of our ads customers, we partner with Sales, Product and Engineering teams within Google to develop better solutions, tools, and services to improve our products and enhance our client experience. As a cross-functional and global team, we ensure our customers get the best return on investment with Google and we remain a trusted partner.

As an Engagement Manager, you will be key to creating an excellent end-to-end experience for Google’s Ads clients, by being accountable for gTech service delivery and enabling Sales objectives. gTech Engagement Managers serve as a unified services partner who design and orchestrate gTech end-to-end services, and represent gTech Ads to sellers and client executives. gTech Ads is a team of thought leaders, addressing our clients’ complex business challenges, and program managers, designing plans and gathering resources to help accomplish our ambition.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $137,000-$200,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted advisor to Ads clients, understanding their business challenges and architecting technology and media solutions to meet their goals.
  • Collaborate with Sales to discover customer needs, assess where gTech Ads can add value, and secure senior client buy-in for proposed initiatives.
  • Design and finalize joint services plans, aligning solutions and resources to client priorities and unlocking growth by scoping comprehensive projects.
  • Orchestrate the delivery of services plans, working closely with regional gTech Ads execution teams, Customer Support, and Media Solutions, and manage high-visibility escalations when necessary.
  • Serve as the primary point of accountability for gTech Ads go-to-market and execution, conducting regular client debriefs and proactively addressing challenges.
