Job Description

The Engineering and EHS Manager ensures the efficiency and safety of industrial operations, managing assets and technical projects, being responsible for implementing safety programs, ensuring compliance with standards, and fostering innovation in processes, involving employees in health and safety practices. They also represent the company before regulatory bodies and keep legal licenses up to date.
Good To Have:
  • Post-graduation or specialization in EHS, Occupational Safety, or Environmental Management (desirable)
  • Desirable Advanced Spanish
Must Have:
  • Develop and maintain engineering competencies in the factory.
  • Ensure that optimal decisions are made/implemented regarding factory assets.
  • Monitor Capital Investments, ensuring justification, request, implementation, start-up, and reporting.
  • Enable high-performance Operations by providing asset Maintenance according to strategy.
  • Ensure that Production needs for utilities are met and optimized.
  • Ensure that electrical services, the degree of automation, and MES at the factory level comply.
  • Ensure optimal and sustainable operations at the factory level, following the Energy/Water Management approach.
  • Drive innovation and renewal, initiating/coordinating the implementation of new processes/technologies.
  • Manage engineering activities using an ERP system and ensure compliance.
  • Develop, implement, and manage EHSW programs, including waste management.
  • Comply with and enforce basic Safety, Quality, and Supply guidelines.
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory agencies, corporate standards and programs.
  • Ensure that EHSW prioritizes problems through active communication.
  • Ensure the participation and engagement of all employees in EHSW programs.
  • Represent HALEON when contacting local EHSW regulatory authorities.
  • Maintain the site's Legal Licenses related to EHSW Management.
  • Ensure the maintenance of an Ergonomics Program and a Workplace Gymnastics program.

The Engineering and EHS Manager ensures the efficiency and safety of industrial operations, managing assets and technical projects, being responsible for implementing safety programs, ensuring compliance with standards, and fostering innovation in processes, involving employees in health and safety practices. They also represent the company before regulatory bodies and keep legal licenses up to date.

Main responsibilities:

  • People: Develop and maintain engineering competencies in the factory (including technical and management competencies, talent assessment, career and succession planning, etc.).
  • Fixed Asset Planning: Ensure that optimal decisions are made/implemented regarding factory assets;
  • Project Management: Monitor Capital Investments, ensuring justification, request, implementation, start-up, and reporting aligned with Guidelines/TPM.
  • Maintenance and Improvement: Enable high-performance Operations by providing asset Maintenance according to strategy, using TPM/PM as a multidisciplinary approach to maintain/improve fixed assets and a data management system to control their lifecycle.
  • Industrial Services: Ensure that Production needs for utilities are met and optimized.
  • Electricity, Automation, and MES: Ensure that electrical services, the degree of automation, and MES at the factory level comply with business requirements.
  • Energy/Water/EHS Management: Ensure optimal and sustainable operations at the factory level, following the Energy/Water Management approach, conducting the corresponding Reporting System, and respecting EHS policies.
  • Process and Packaging Optimization: Drive innovation and renewal, initiating/coordinating the implementation of new processes/technologies with the relevant factory and regional engineering.
  • Manage engineering activities using an ERP system and ensure compliance with defined processes.
  • Develop, implement, and manage EHSW programs, including, but not limited to, site waste management in accordance with local regulations;
  • Comply with and enforce basic Safety, Quality, and Supply guidelines and applicable work systems.
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory agencies, corporate standards and programs, and identify and control EHSW-related risks.
  • Ensure that EHSW prioritizes issues through active communication with all areas.
  • Ensure the participation and engagement of all employees in EHSW programs through effective communication and involvement techniques.
  • Represent HALEON when contacting local EHSW regulatory authorities.
  • Maintain the site's Legal Licenses related to EHSW Management.
  • Ensure the maintenance of an Ergonomics Program and a Workplace Gymnastics program and increase employee participation.

Why YOU?

Your qualifications:

  • Complete higher education degree;
  • Post-graduation or specialization in EHS, Occupational Safety, or Environmental Management (desirable)
  • Experience in planning, manufacturing, packaging, GMP, people management, EHS, and performance management.
  • Solid experience in industrial project management, maintenance, and process engineering.
  • Proficiency in safety and environmental standards and legislation (NRs, ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
  • Experience in internal and external audits, risk management, and compliance programs.
  • Advanced English and Desirable Advanced Spanish.
  • Strategic leadership and ability to engage multidisciplinary teams.
  • Analytical vision and results-oriented.
  • Good communication and negotiation skills with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Previous experience in the consumer goods sector.
  • Innovation and transformation mindset.
