About the Role: 
As an Engineering Manager - Analytics & Data Engineering at Highspot, you will inspire, lead, and grow a multidisciplinary team of creative and talented data analysts/data scientists, and data engineers. Your role will encompass delivering cutting-edge analytics capabilities within our B2B SaaS product, developing and maintaining a company-wide data warehouse to empower data-driven decision-making, and leveraging your expertise in statistical analysis, machine learning techniques, and business acumen to unlock valuable insights from our data, driving impactful decisions and fueling our growth. Your technical prowess and proven people management skills will guide strategic decisions about our data systems, analytics capabilities, team operations, and engineering culture. Responsibilities

    • Lead a team of data analysts/data scientists and data engineers, inspiring and motivating them to do their best work. As we continue building our Platform, this will include regularly jumping in to help with coding and design.
    • Actively participate and guide your team in analyzing core business topics using Highspot’s product and business data (such as user behavior on the Highspot platform, customer health, and the operations of our internal teams) to derive insights that drive product development and enhance platform effectiveness.
    • Apply statistics, machine learning, and operations research techniques to design, develop, deploy and monitor solutions to drive impactful business outcomes such as - enhance operational efficiency across the organization, reduce customer churn rate, optimize resource allocations etc.
    • Drive the team's data & analytics strategy, technical roadmap, and data storage solutions.
    • Spearhead the definition of top-level business, team, and product metrics, and drive the creation of automated reports/dashboards in close coordination with cross-functional stakeholders to drive strategic decision-making.
    • Develop and maintain scalable end-to-end data pipelines and data warehouse systems that are relied upon by teams across the company and embody a rigorous data protection model to accommodate global compliance requirements.
    • Lead the development and implementation of custom  scorecards and visualizations in the product using React/Typescript/Highcharts components to provide actionable insights to our customers.
    • Bring your technical expertise to the evolution of Highspot’s software; ensure that our architecture and stack are optimized to keep pace with the demands of hyper-growth; position your product area (and support adjacent product areas) for continued high-availability and reliability across multiple worldwide data centers.
    • Collaborate across boundaries with key partners & stakeholders in decision making and delivering high impact customer values while ensuring effective communication within and outside of your team.
    • Mentor and guide the professional and technical development of individuals on your team. Enforce accountability through relevant, and objective performance targets and timely feedback and coaching.
    • Uphold and build upon Highspot’s culture, ensuring that Engineering is a welcoming, inclusive place and that will meet and exceed our DE&I goals with a commitment to diversity.
    • Advocate for the tools, process, and resources your team needs to enable their ongoing success and unlock their ability to innovate.

Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
    • 5+ years of hands-on experience designing and building scalable, high-quality customer-facing software
    • 5+ years of hands-on experience with advanced analytics & cloud data engineering.
    • Extensive experience with statistical analysis and data science models, and excel at deriving compelling and actionable insights from complex datasets
    • Deep understanding of complex & large analytics workload, data modeling, data pipelines and proven track record of  leading a team that delivers robust, secure & performant data & analytics platforms
    • Experience in delivering action oriented scorecards & visualizations
    • 7+ years of experience using SQL to extract and transform complex structured and semi-structured data from a data warehouse
    • 5+ years of experience in Python and related analytics libraries to wrangle, visualize, analyze, and build statistical/Machine Learning models
    • Experience with object oriented programming and  web technologies
    • Experience partnering with different business functions
    • Ability to present to C-level execs and do hands-on deep-dives with analysts & engineers
    • Ability to create a high morale and high performance team
    • Ability to summarize and visualize complex analyses to tell a compelling story
    • Entrepreneurial spirit, priding yourself on getting things done with a high level of quality
