Job Description

This Engineering Manager role at Google focuses on enhancing the quality of Android's GPU drivers. Responsibilities include leading a team to improve driver quality, collaborating with developers to identify and resolve driver regressions, developing key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure ecosystem impact, and overseeing the certification process. The ideal candidate possesses strong technical leadership skills, extensive software development experience (Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript), and a deep understanding of Android and graphics. Experience in game development and GPU driver creation/testing is highly desirable. The role involves managing engineers across multiple teams and locations and overseeing large-scale project deployments internationally.

Must have:

8+ years software development experience
3+ years technical leadership
2+ years people management
Android and Graphics expertise
Lead GPU driver quality improvement team

Good to have:

Game development experience
GPU driver creation/testing/debugging experience

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
8 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).
3 years of experience in a technical leadership role; overseeing projects, with 2 years of experience in a people management, supervision/team leadership role.
Experience in Android and Graphics.

Preferred qualifications:

Experience in game development.
Experience with Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) Driver creation, testing, or debugging.
