Wind River is seeking an experienced developer to join the Helix Virtualization Platform (HVP) & VxWorks development teams as a team lead. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development, implementation, and certification of safety-critical features and functionality used by our Aerospace, Industrial and Automotive customers. As a team lead, you will lead a highly-skilled development team charged with all aspects of the safety-critical software development life cycle, from requirements development to implementation to verification. You will work closely with the product management team and system architects to understand and implement customer-requested features and fixes. This includes developing product features, actively participating in the certification of HVP & VxWorks, providing technical leadership, and driving team focus and prioritization. The candidate should be self-motivated with a customer-focused mindset, and able to collaborate between teams.
Must have:
  • Experience in embedded software development
  • Knowledge of DO-178C or ISO 26262 standards
  • Experience as a technical hands-on team lead
  • Solid programming experience in C, C++, and Python

Responsibilities Develop product features in accordance with customer requirements Actively participate in the certification of HVP & VxWorks Provide technical leadership to the team Take initiative to improve features and processes Drive team focus and prioritization Identify, communicate, and coordinate inter-team dependencies ABOUT YOU Core Competencies & Demonstrated Success Experience in embedded software development Knowledge of DO-178C or ISO 26262 standards Experience as a technical hands-on team lead Self-motivated with a customer-focused mindset Able to develop product features in accordance with customer requirements Seeks opportunities to collaborate between teams Qualifications BSc / MSc degree (Computer Science, Computer/Electrical Engineering, or equivalent technical degree). Solid understanding of software development methodology Minimum 15-20 years’ experience in designing complex software features Minimum 8-12 years’ experience working in a software design , development and Verification & Validation role. Experience working on DAL A software Cert.
