We are looking for a highly driven technician who will work in a team to validate lithium ion cell and battery safety performance through testing. They will execute tests to evaluate performance and validate requirements. This position is fixed-term for one year.
What You’ll DoBe a member of a cross functional product development team and perform cell and/or battery tests according to SOPs and internal standards. Own laboratory tasks and responsibilities.Execution of cell and/or battery tests using cyclers, specialized temperature control fixtures, environmental test chambers and data loggers.Perform cell vibration tests and execution of CT scans after training.Summarize results in test reports.Perform destructive analysis/teardowns of cells and/or batteries to analyze reliability and performance issues.Projects require to work with hazardous materials using mandated PPE and setting up and performing tests in person.As needed: Collaborate with external stakeholders and oversee testing.As needed: Build, assemble and commission equipment for testing.Other tasks as required.What You’ll BringExperience with test equipment for cell and/or battery testing (cyclers, environmental chambers, DAQs) or comparable experience with electrical test equipment.Ability to execute tests independently and reliablyInitial experience in MATLAB/Python or other software for data processing is a plus, SQL is a plus.Background in electrical, mechanical, process, automotive, automation, aerospace, chemical engineering, chemistry, physics. Laboratory technicians/chemical technical assistants and comparable are also consideredCandidates with profound hands-on experience in analysis of safety failures, fire/burn testing, hazardous material handling are encouraged to apply.Driving license class B (normal car) is required. Fluent in English, German is a plus.
