Databricks is seeking a creative and delivery-oriented Enterprise Account Executive in Zürich to drive new business within the Swiss Manufacturing and Retail sector. This role focuses on acquiring new enterprise customers, leveraging the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform. The successful candidate will identify opportunities, engage stakeholders, use solution-based selling, and manage complex sales cycles. Responsibilities include tracking customer details, owning consumption, and collaborating with internal teams to maximize impact and guide successful negotiations. A strong sales track record and proficiency in German and English are essential for this impactful role.
Must have:
  • Identify new business opportunities and win new clients.
  • Increase usage of the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform.
  • Assess accounts and develop strategies for stakeholder engagement.
  • Utilize a solution-based selling approach to demonstrate value.
  • Manage both quick wins and complex sales cycles.
  • Track customer details, use cases, and forecasting in Salesforce.
  • Own the consumption story and identify viable use cases.
  • Orchestrate and collaborate with internal teams.
  • Build exceptional value to guide successful negotiations.
  • Achieve and over-achieve against sales quota.
  • Fluent German and business English proficiency.
Good to have:
  • Experience selling complex software to Manufacturing and Retail clients in Switzerland.
  • Understanding of consumption-based, land and expand sales models.
  • Evidence of creating demand and delivering substantial value for clients.
  • Experience with sales methodologies like account planning, MEDDPICC, Value Selling, and accurate forecasting.
  • Experience developing partnerships with "champions" and client teams.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.

We are looking for a creative, delivery-oriented Account Executive to join the team in Zürich to maximise the phenomenal market opportunity that exists for Databricks in the Manafacturing and Retail sector. As an Enterprise Account Executive at Databricks you'll focus on acquiring new enterprise customers within the Swiss Manufacturing and Retail services sector and share an informed point of view on the Big Data and Advanced Analytics space.

The impact you will have:

  • Identify new business opportunities, win new clients and increase the subsequent usage of the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform within the Manufacturing and Retail sector in Switzerland
  • Assess your accounts and develop a strategy to identify and engage all buying centers and stakeholders
  • Use a solution-based approach to selling and demonstrate value to potential new clients
  • Conclude quick, small wins while managing longer, complex sales cycles
  • Track all customer details including use case, purchase time frames, next steps, and forecasting in Salesforce
  • Own the consumption story with your customers, using demand plans to identify the most viable use cases in each account to maximise the Databricks impact
  • Orchestrate and work with internal teams to maximise the impact on your ecosystem
  • Build exceptional value with all engagements to guide successful negotiations to close point

What we look for:

  • Track record of achieving and over-achieving against quota
  • Experience selling complex software (ideally with a focus on data & AI) to Manufacturing and Retail clients in Switzerland is preferred
  • A passion for winning new clients (also known as the hunter mentality!)
  • Strong tenure in previous roles
  • Understanding of consumption-based, land and expand sales models is advantageous
  • Evidence of creating demand and delivering substantial value for clients
  • Experience working with sales methodologies and processes, e.g. account planning, MEDDPICC, Value Selling and accurate forecasting
  • Experience developing partnerships with "champions" and client teams to support execution of your territory plan
  • Fluent German and business English required
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience preferred
