About the Position:

This highly technical role provides Design and Implementation/rollout Consultancy services for Junipers Solutions targeted at Enterprise & Service Provider customers. This is a full-time post-sales position on-site and remote, working as part of a wider Juniper Professional Services team.

The Juniper PS consulting role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities from Solution design, HLD & LLD design, implementation and migration planning, rollout support, supporting highly escalated issues in production, working with Engineering team to identify changes in the product architecture, guiding other theatre PS consultants on the solution, testing, optimisation services, customer training and KT workshops and be a trusted advisor. The work is remote, with up to 25% travel based on a need basis. The PS Consultant is expected to work collaboratively & Cross functionally with other teams like REs, SE’s, CFTS, JTAC and PS theatre delivery teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Work in a consultative manner to support and Wired enterprise solutions(Campus and Branch switching) towards the end customer.
  • Designing, planning ,implementing and roll outs the below solutions using the MIST cloud.
  • Workshops: Design & Rollout Transition Planning
  • Design and architect Juniper Mist Campus Fabric solutions (EVPN/VXLAN Based) tailored to meet clients' business and technical requirements.
  • Provide expertise in building scalable, secure, and high-performance campus networks using Mist Campus Fabric (EVPN/VXLAN Based).
  • Work closely with clients to understand their campus networking challenges and provide strategic recommendations based on Mist Campus Fabric (EVPN/VXLAN Based) best practices.
  • Conduct assessments and audits to identify opportunities for improvement in existing Mist Campus Fabric (EVPN/VXLAN Based) deployments.
  • Create detailed documentation of Mist Campus Fabric (EVPN/VXLAN Based) designs, configurations, and best practices.
  • Conduct training sessions for internal teams and clients on Juniper Mist Campus Fabric (EVPN/VXLAN Based) technologies.
  • Creating Pre-Deployment checklists
  • Creating & customizing Site implementation Plans (i.e. Run-Books)
  • Cutover Planning
  • Testing Designs features
  • Maintenance window assistance
  • Post Cutover verification and health checks
  • Knowledge Transfer on Mist deployment and operations
  • EVPN/VXLAN-based campus/branch switch network.
  • Mist-based wireless solution.
  • Develop and maintain an in-depth technical knowledge of the Juniper QFX, EX, Junos and MIST product lines.
  • 802.1X Network Access control integration and design
  • Lead deployments to ensure that implementations are consistent with design specifications
  • Providing KT workshops to transfer knowledge to partners, Customers and JTAC.
  • Applying industry best practices to the design, planning, site rollout support and implementation.
  • Applying extensive industry experience to optimize solution design and proactively analyse potential enhancements.
  • Evaluating technical specifications for interoperability.
  • Produce network implementation and migration plans.
  • Provide remote monitoring support with on-going implementation support including health checks.
  • Provide recommendations to customers about network improvements.
  • Participate in requirements and scoping workshops with customers, delivery partners, and sales.
  • Customisation and third party integration using automation scripts/ templates.
  • Evaluate customer networks for performance, scalability, and security and provide recommendations to customers about improvements to network configurations and topologies to prevent problems before they occur.
  • Ensure that PS aspects of engagement follow engagement and delivery processes, working closely with the appropriate Project or Program Manager.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with the customer's technical management and teams.
  • Reviewing customer-provided (technical) information.
  • Assisting with hand-over to Operations or a Juniper Networks Operational RE.
  • Support for customer-driven testing, providing technical feedback not only on the product but also on the validity of the test.
  • Tracking and reporting of issues found during testing, Implementation, and migration.
  • Working with customers across different time zones.

Qualifications:

  • Expert communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Right attitude of “customer first” & focus so that you can close out operational challenges on both sales and delivery with CSS, Sales, Partners or other Juniper players.
  • Strong design and delivery experience.
  • Strong skills and excellent hands-on and planning capabilities with,
  • DC and Campus fabric implementation with Juniper EX and QFX or Similar products from Cisco, Arista.
  • Experience of designing and deploying RADIUS and NAC enterprise solutions using Cisco ISE, Aruba Clearpass, Forescout or similar vendors.
  • Network OS like Junos or IOS.
  • Layer 3 - IP and related technologies
  • Experience in advanced Datacentre technologies – VxLAN, EVPN, MCLAG, IP Fabric, GBP, Virtual Chassis.
  • Sound knowledge of Enterprise networking background.
  • Layer 2 technologies (Ethernet, 802.1q/p VLAN, BFD, STP, RSTP, ARP, LACP, VRRP, 802.1x).
  • Experience with NAT (Source, Destination, Static, NAT-PT) and Network Access Control. Hands on experience on NAC products like Cisco Ice, Aruba clearpass, forescout etc.
  • Hands-on experience with Linux servers and network services (DHCP, SNMP, FTP, TFTP, DNS, NTP, Multicast).
  • Experience/Knowledge of Virtualization and Hypervisor Technologies like ESXi, KVM.
  • Familiar and Hands-On with traffic generation tool (Ixia, Spirent, etc.).
  • Understanding of Cloud Concept, Private and Public Cloud, Design Fundamentals.
  • Industry Certifications – Juniper product certifications (JNCIP/CCNP/CCIE/JNCIE).

Experience/Background Desired:

  • 12+ years’ experience in implementation, Delivery, and Network Solution Architecture in Service Providers and Enterprise domains.
  • 4+ years of Campus & Branch switching-related experience.
  • 3+ years of Enterprise routing switching-related experience.
  • 1+ years of wireless-related experience.
  • Minimum of 6 years in customer-facing/Consultative roles.
