Job Description

Enphase Energy seeks an experienced Staff Engineer for their EVSE integration team. This role requires a strong technical leader proficient in IoT/cloud software development. Responsibilities include leading product architecture and development, mentoring engineers, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving improvements in technical architecture and processes. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in backend programming (Java/Spring Boot, JavaScript/Node, Python), databases (SQL, NoSQL), web technologies, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). Experience with high-performance systems, Agile methodologies, and excellent communication skills are essential.

Must have:

6+ years software development experience
Backend programming expertise (Java/Spring Boot, JavaScript/Node, Python)
Database knowledge (SQL, NoSQL)
Cloud platform experience (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Agile methodologies
Excellent communication skills

Good to have:

Frontend development skills (HTML/CSS, JavaScript)
Experience with embedded systems or hardware

About the role:

For our EVSE integration team in the Cloud Business Unit we seek experienced IOT/ Cloud SW Technical Leader who will be able to work across multiple products to lead effective product architecture and development

Hands-on in various technologies, Mentor team of Engineers, on day-to-day duties as well as work with leadership team on strategic initiatives

Provide hands-on technical expertise to design, engineer, deploy, and deliver including driving improvements in technical architecture, standards, and processes.

Partner with Engineering, Product Management, Program Management and Professional Services to ensure required technology upgrades/migrations/ and builds are well understood and planned into roadmaps.

What you will be doing:

Strong experience with best-in-class software engineering practices
Good programming knowledge of Backend
Polyglot programmer with any combo of Java + Spring Boot, JavaScript + Node, Python
Adept in multiple databases including SQL + NoSQL (Mongo / Cassandra DB / DynamoDB)
Good knowledge of web technologies, design patterns and architecture principles.
Familiarity with Frontend development, HTML/CSS, JavaScript and UI/UX design
Familiar with HA/DR, scalability, performance, code optimizations
Experience with working with highly performance and throughput systems
Ability to define, track and deliver items to one’s own schedule.
Good organizational skills and the ability to work on more than one project at a time.
Exceptional attention to detail and good communication skills

Who you are and what you bring:

B.E/B.Tech in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
6+ years of solid software development experience
Extensive knowledge of at least 1 cloud platform (AWS, Microsoft Azure, GCP)
IOT Based product functionality knowledge.
Good knowledge and experience with Agile, TDD or BDD methodologies
Excellent knowledge of software and application design and architecture
Understanding of software quality assurance and security principles
A technical mindset with great attention to detail
Ability to collaborate and work across team, functions, and geographies.
Experience with JIRA, Confluence, GIT, Bitbucket etc.
Familiarity with HTML/CSS, JavaScript and UI/UX design
Exposure or knowledge in Renewable Tech companies
Familiarity with working with any embedded or telecom or hardware product is desirable.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with IoT based systems preferred.
