As a Project Closer, your key role is to support and coordinate with the development team of Tencent’s studio(s) during the final phase of production to ensure the project is release-ready in terms of quality and delivery. Working closely with studio(s), team leads, producers, project managers, QA, and other teams, you will actively manage all aspects of projects, assess production progress, and mitigate risks associated with release timelines. You'll also be responsible for setting up best practices, mentoring production specialists, and contributing to studio-wide improvements in production management globally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Streamline production processes by establishing communication methods that enhance team coordination and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Collaborate with project leadership to facilitate decision-making and support production progress.
  • Monitor project milestones, assess risks, and work with producers and production directors to develop contingency plans.
  • Ensure the project meets quality and timeline goals, providing feedback and guidance to the team on day-to-day operations and scope management.
  • Communicate the status of debugging and game polishing efforts to Tencent HQ Management to assist in release date decisions.
  • Ensure compliance with online readiness KPIs and age rating requirements using Jira and closing dashboards.
  • Implement and teach best practices for project closure.
  • Assist in recruiting and training producers.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of work experience in game industry, with proven track record in successfully shipping global AAA titles.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.
  • Effective communication across various seniority levels.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills, driving teams towards shared objectives.
  • Excellent decision-making, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to monitor and manage processes in a streamlined and organized manner.

Note: This role preference is to be based in Europe with frequent travels to studios.
