Job Description
As a Field Service Technician, you'll be responsible for ensuring the optimal operation of Tesla's renewable energy storage products and Superchargers in Kristiansand, Norway, and potentially other locations. Daily tasks include on-site preventive maintenance, upgrades, troubleshooting, repairs, and commissioning activities. You will troubleshoot issues, conduct root-cause analysis, and serve as the primary contact for contractors. Collaboration with engineering teams to address recurring problems and provide feedback is crucial. Strong electrical engineering skills, experience with low and medium voltage systems (high voltage a plus), and excellent communication are essential. The role demands independent work, proactive problem-solving, and flexibility for travel. Fluency in Norwegian and English, along with an EU passport or work permit, is required.

What to ExpectWhat You’ll Bring
As a Field Service Technician in our Energy and Charging Field Service team, you will play a vital role in making sure both our Renewable Energy Storage products and our Superchargers are operating at their best. In your day-to-day responsibilities, you will be travelling to sites and perform preventive maintenance, upgrades, troubleshooting and repairs along with commissioning activities across various locations within Norway. What You’ll Do- Perform all on-site technical activities: related to the installation, commissioning, repair, maintenance of our Energy storage and Supercharging network in Kristiansand and abroad when needed
- Troubleshoot: and perform root-cause analysis, both remotely and on-site
- Stakeholder managment: Act as the first point of contact to contractors
- Team work: recurring issues and provide feedback to the engineering teams
- Organizational tasks: prepare, organize, and plan your own technical activities
- Experience as a technician in the electrical engineering field
- Experience with Low- and Medium Voltage electrical systems, High Voltage is a plus
- A passion for renewable energy
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently, motivated and a proactive attitude
- Flexible towards travelling
- Fluency in Norwegian and a good command of English
- An EU passport or work permit is needed for this position
