Job Description
As a Field Service Technician in Tesla's Energy and Charging Field Service team in Iceland, you'll ensure optimal Supercharger operation. Daily responsibilities involve traveling to various locations to perform preventive maintenance, upgrades, troubleshooting, repairs, and commissioning. This role requires expertise in electricity and power systems. You'll troubleshoot issues, conduct root-cause analysis, manage contractors, collaborate with engineering teams, and plan your own technical activities. International travel may be required. Fluency in Icelandic and English is essential, along with an EU passport or work permit.
Must have:
- Electrical engineering experience
- Low/Medium voltage systems experience
- Troubleshooting and repair skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Independent work ethic
- Fluency in Icelandic and English

What to ExpectWhat You’ll Bring
As a Field Service Technician in our Energy and Charging Field Service team, you will play a vital role in making sure our Superchargers are operating at their best. In your day-to-day responsibilities, you will be travelling to sites and perform preventive maintenance, upgrades, troubleshooting and repairs along with commissioning activities across various locations within Iceland. What You’ll Do- Perform all on-site technical activities: related to the installation, commissioning, repair, maintenance of our Supercharging network in Iceland and abroad when needed
- Troubleshoot: and perform root-cause analysis, both remotely and on-site
- Stakeholder managment: Act as the first point of contact to contractors
- Team work: recurring issues and provide feedback to the engineering teams
- Organizational tasks: prepare, organize, and plan your own technical activities
- Experience as a technician in the electrical engineering field
- Experience with Low- and Medium Voltage electrical systems, High Voltage is a plus
- A passion for renewable energy
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently, motivated and a proactive attitude
- Flexible towards travelling
- Fluency in Icelandic and a good command of English
- An EU passport or work permit is needed for this position
