Job Description

As a Field Service Technician in Tesla's Energy and Charging Field Service team, you'll ensure optimal Supercharger operation in Iceland (and potentially abroad). Daily responsibilities include traveling to various sites to perform preventive maintenance, upgrades, troubleshooting, repairs, and commissioning activities. You'll troubleshoot issues, conduct root-cause analysis (remotely and on-site), act as the primary contact for contractors, collaborate with engineering teams on recurring problems, and manage your technical workload. Experience in electrical engineering, particularly with low- and medium-voltage systems (high-voltage experience is a plus), is essential. Excellent communication, independent work ethic, flexibility, and fluency in Icelandic and English are required. An EU passport or work permit is mandatory.

Must have:

Electrical engineering experience
Low/Medium voltage systems knowledge
Troubleshooting & repair skills
Fluent in Icelandic and English
EU passport or work permit

Good to have:

High voltage experience
Renewable energy passion

What to Expect

As a Field Service Technician in our Energy and Charging Field Service team, you will play a vital role in making sure our Superchargers are operating at their best. In your day-to-day responsibilities, you will be travelling to sites and perform preventive maintenance, upgrades, troubleshooting and repairs along with commissioning activities across various locations within Iceland. What You’ll Do

Perform all on-site technical activities: related to the installation, commissioning, repair, maintenance of our Supercharging network in Iceland and abroad when needed
Troubleshoot: and perform root-cause analysis, both remotely and on-site
Stakeholder managment: Act as the first point of contact to contractors
Team work: recurring issues and provide feedback to the engineering teams
Organizational tasks: prepare, organize, and plan your own technical activities

What You’ll Bring

Experience as a technician in the electrical engineering field
Experience with Low- and Medium Voltage electrical systems, High Voltage is a plus
A passion for renewable energy
Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently, motivated and a proactive attitude
Flexible towards travelling
Fluency in Icelandic and a good command of English
An EU passport or work permit is needed for this position
