Job Description
As a Field Service Technician in Tesla's Energy and Charging Field Service team, you'll ensure optimal Supercharger operation in Iceland (and potentially abroad). Daily responsibilities include traveling to various sites to perform preventive maintenance, upgrades, troubleshooting, repairs, and commissioning activities. You'll troubleshoot issues, conduct root-cause analysis (remotely and on-site), act as the primary contact for contractors, collaborate with engineering teams on recurring problems, and manage your technical workload. Experience in electrical engineering, particularly with low- and medium-voltage systems (high-voltage experience is a plus), is essential. Excellent communication, independent work ethic, flexibility, and fluency in Icelandic and English are required. An EU passport or work permit is mandatory.

What You’ll Do- Perform all on-site technical activities: related to the installation, commissioning, repair, maintenance of our Supercharging network in Iceland and abroad when needed
- Troubleshoot: and perform root-cause analysis, both remotely and on-site
- Stakeholder managment: Act as the first point of contact to contractors
- Team work: recurring issues and provide feedback to the engineering teams
- Organizational tasks: prepare, organize, and plan your own technical activities
- Experience as a technician in the electrical engineering field
- Experience with Low- and Medium Voltage electrical systems, High Voltage is a plus
- A passion for renewable energy
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently, motivated and a proactive attitude
- Flexible towards travelling
- Fluency in Icelandic and a good command of English
- An EU passport or work permit is needed for this position
