Job Description
As a Field Service Technician in Tesla's Energy and Charging Field Service team, you will ensure optimal Supercharger operation. Daily responsibilities include traveling to various locations in Iceland (and abroad as needed) to perform preventive maintenance, upgrades, troubleshooting, repairs, and commissioning activities on Supercharger stations. This role demands expertise in electricity and power systems, a passion for renewable energy, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently and proactively. You will act as the primary point of contact for contractors, troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis, and provide feedback to engineering teams. Organizational and planning skills are crucial for managing your own technical activities.

- Electrical engineering technician experience
- Low & Medium Voltage systems experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Proactive & independent work style
- Fluency in Icelandic & English
- EU passport or work permit

As a Field Service Technician in our Energy and Charging Field Service team, you will play a vital role in making sure our Superchargers are operating at their best. In your day-to-day responsibilities, you will be travelling to sites and perform preventive maintenance, upgrades, troubleshooting and repairs along with commissioning activities across various locations within Iceland. What You’ll Do- Perform all on-site technical activities: related to the installation, commissioning, repair, maintenance of our Supercharging network in Iceland and abroad when needed
- Troubleshoot: and perform root-cause analysis, both remotely and on-site
- Stakeholder managment: Act as the first point of contact to contractors
- Team work: recurring issues and provide feedback to the engineering teams
- Organizational tasks: prepare, organize, and plan your own technical activities
- Experience as a technician in the electrical engineering field
- Experience with Low- and Medium Voltage electrical systems, High Voltage is a plus
- A passion for renewable energy
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently, motivated and a proactive attitude
- Flexible towards travelling
- Fluency in Icelandic and a good command of English
- An EU passport or work permit is needed for this position
