Job Summary
Job Description
As a Field Services Technician at Zones, you'll provide on-site hardware/software/cabling support, installation, configuration, and troubleshooting in PC/network environments. Responsibilities include installing and configuring new infrastructure, maintaining systems, providing technical support to diverse users, acting as a liaison between the infrastructure team and clients, and managing company vehicles. This role requires extensive travel, including overnight stays and weekend departures. You'll also manage inventory and asset records, complete required paperwork, and perform final configuration tasks at client locations.
Must have:
- 2+ years PC systems, cabling, software experience
- Windows OS & Office Suite familiarity
- Inventory/asset recording accuracy
- Customer service and communication skills
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Valid driver's license
- Willingness to travel extensively

Position Overview
As a Field Technician, you will provide hardware/software/structure cabling technical service and support, installation, configuration, and problem resolution in a PC/network/infrastructure environment. You will complete proper inventory and asset recording processes prior to and during delivery and complete appropriate paperwork as required for customer acceptance. On a daily basis you will travel to customer locations within a region, so a flexible work schedule is a must.
What you'll do as a Field Services Technician:

- Install, configure and support new hardware and software infrastructure.
- Ensure that hardware and software systems are maintained.
- Provide technical support to users with very different levels of IT knowledge and competence.
- Act as the liaison between nfrastructure team and the customer
- Travel to customer locations and possess a flexible work schedule, this will require overnight stays.
- Will be responsible for operating company vehicle.
- Other duties as assigned.
What you will bring to the team:
- High School diploma or equivalent Associate’s Degree preferred and at least 2 years’ experience with PC systems, related peripherals, structure cabling, and common software programs and Operating Systems.
- Familiarity with standard Windows O/S and Office suites.
- Ability to thoroughly and accurately perform inventory and asset recording and complete paperwork as required by customer, including vendor warranties.
- Ability to perform final configuration tasks on customer premise.
- 2+ years’ experience with desktop hardware.
- 2+ years’ experience with structure cabling.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- The ability and willingness to travel (including a weekend departure, traveling during off-hours, and frequent overnight stays).
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Qualified candidates can expect an hourly range of $38.00-$40.00 per hour.
Note: Compensation is benchmarked on local California area market rates. Qualified candidates in other locations can expect a salary package that may be adjusted based off applicable cost of wages in their respective location.
