As a Finance Business Partner, you'll build strong relationships across the business to influence key decisions. To excel in this role, you’ll need to be skilled at interpreting complex financial data and presenting insights clearly. You'll analyse trends and identify opportunities to drive growth and enhance performance, translating financial information into actionable insights for stakeholders at all levels. Your ability to communicate effectively will be key to guiding the business toward informed, strategic decisions.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with solid experience in budgeting and forecasting to play a key role in the day-to-day operations of the business. We have offices expanding across multiple locations in New Zealand and Australia. This is a full time role based in our Brisbane office.

Your day-to-day...

• Review month-end transactions and prepare journals for the finance team.
• Work with the finance team to ensure compliance with internal controls, risk management frameworks, and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee specific cost centre budgets and assist with collating information from key business partners.
• Present financial insights in meetings and assist in translating complex financial data into understandable terms for non-financial teams.
• Provide guidance to the HR/Payroll team as needed.
• Champion data-driven decision-making and leverage digital tools in financial analysis.

What you’ll bring...

• Previous experience in business partnering/ commercial finance roles is a must.
• A bachelor’s degree in the business/commerce discipline.
• Strong Excel skills, including experience in constructing complex yet understandable financial models (P&L and Balance Sheet).
• Ability to thrive as part of a team within a changing, high-volume environment.
• Effective partnerships with the wider business to influence and be a key contributor to the financial management of the business.
