EA's Asia Controllership team seeks a Finance Controllership Manager based in Shanghai. Reporting to the Sr. Manager, you'll lead statutory and local compliance for EA's Chinese legal entities. Responsibilities include managing the control environment, ensuring compliance with statutory financial statements, annual audits, and tax filings. You will partner with FP&A and business teams, providing accounting guidance during contract reviews. The role requires a strong understanding of US GAAP and local regulations, experience managing a team, and proficiency in MS Suite, Power BI, Oracle ERP, Trintech Cadency, and Hyperion Financial Management. Fluency in English and Mandarin is essential. The position offers a hybrid work arrangement.

Asia Controllership's mission is to support US GAAP reporting and statutory for the Group’s legal entities and our team is based in: Australia, Malaysia, Singapore, Shanghai (China) and Seoul (Korea).

Responsibilities:

  • Based in Shanghai, you will report into the Sr Manager supporting EA's legal entities in China including leading statutory and local compliance and other tasks with the option for a hybrid work.

  • Statutory Compliance/ Internal control environment

    • You will manage overall control environment and its effectiveness.

    • You will manage compliance including review of statutory financial statements, annual audit and tax related filings.

  • Finance Partnering

    • Partner with FP&A and Business teams to manage monthly activities and provide accounting guidance during contract review and regular touch points

Qualifications:

  • You will challenge existing processes to lead efficiency

  • You are a team player, have relationships within Finance and across the organization

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Business Administration is required, China CPA or equivalent preferred·

  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in general accounting in a multinational organization and prior Big 4 beneficial

  • You may have direct reports

  • Knowledge expert with MS Suite, Power BI

  • Experience with Oracle ERP, Trintech Cadency, Hyperion Financial Management

  • Fluency in English and Mandarin with other languages beneficial
