Job Description
Kwalee seeks a Finance Manager to lead its financial and accounting function in the UK, managing a team of three. Responsibilities include preparing monthly management accounts, ensuring accurate revenue and cost of sales reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, cash flow forecasting, payroll, VAT returns, royalty statements, and assisting with year-end audits. The role requires strong leadership, decision-making skills, and experience in a finance role (at least 3 years), ideally with part-qualification towards ACA or ACCA. The position is based in Leamington Spa, requiring full-time on-site presence.

As we continue to grow, we are now looking for a Finance Manager to join our Finance team.
As a Finance Manager, you will be responsible for leading our financial and accounting function for Kwalee UK. You will manage and develop a team of three, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of the monthly management accounts . You will work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders and ensure compliance with finance and accounting policies.
This is a permanent role based in our Leamington Spa studio, where our daily in-office collaboration fuels creativity and innovation.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the accounting and bookkeeping for Kwalee Ltd, managing and developing a team of three.
- Prepare monthly management accounts, investigating variances and providing insightful commentary.
- Ensure revenue and cost of sales are accurately reported by reconciling the accounts to external dashboards.
- Prepare and review Balance Sheet reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and fixed assets.
- Manage weekly and monthly cash flow forecasting, bank reconciliations, and payment runs.
- Oversee payroll preparation, VAT returns, and regulatory filings.
- Ensure accurate royalty statement preparation and distribution.
- Assist with the year-end audit and liaise with external auditors.
- Maintain and improve financial controls, policies, and procedures.
Requirements:
- At least 3+ years of experience in a finance role.
- Role would be suitable for a first time mover from practice or a mover from industry with relevant experienceIdeally part-qualified candidate actively studying towards ACA or ACCA qualifications.
- Experience of Oracle Netsuite desirable but not essential.
- Strong leadership abilities and the ability to work to tight deadlines.
- Excellent decision-making skills with the ability to act quickly and effectively.
- Based in our Leamington Spa office with 5 days per week on-site.
