The Finance Resource Generalist will perform financial activities and analysis, supporting management and customers. Responsibilities include preparing financial accountings, managing funding streams, reconciling accounts, supporting financial operations, reviewing and analyzing general ledger accounts, establishing financial commitments, entering financial data, processing reimbursements, providing financial guidance, clearing accounting suspensions, supporting system development, delivering user support, and analyzing systems. This role requires a detail-oriented finance professional with a strong understanding of Sponsor-specific systems, policies, and procedures.
Must have:
  • Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph (FSP) clearance is required
  • Associate’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
  • At least 2 years of relevant financial experience
  • Strong understanding of federal financial standards and general ledger reconciliation
  • Experience using financial systems; ability to troubleshoot and perform functional testing

Job Details

Kavaliro is seeking a Finance Resource Generalist to join our team in support of a critical customer mission. This role requires a detail-oriented finance professional who can perform a wide range of routine to moderately complex financial activities and analysis. The ideal candidate will support management, staff, and customers with financial operations that require a strong understanding of Sponsor-specific systems, policies, and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and certify financial accountings for services such as debt collection, vendor payments, liaison support, accounting operations, budget management, banking, Payroll and Benefits, and Working Capital Fund functions

  • Monitor and manage incoming and outgoing funding streams for Sponsor services

  • Reconcile general ledger and bank accounts, Sponsor financial systems, and financial statements; initiate corrective actions when necessary

  • Support financial operations involving credit card reconciliation, travel, PCS/TOY accountings, tax returns, invoices, and funding documents

  • Review and analyze General Ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance

  • Establish, monitor, and revalidate financial commitments and obligations under Sponsor guidance

  • Originate and enter financial data into Sponsor-specific databases and systems, ensuring data integrity

  • Process travel and miscellaneous reimbursements in accordance with Sponsor and federal guidelines

  • Provide financial and technical guidance to customers, team members, and managers on policies, entitlements, and accounting requirements

  • Clear accounting suspensions and assist with resolving financial and policy-related issues

  • Support system development activities, generate ad hoc reports, conduct functional testing, and act as liaison between users and system developers

  • Deliver user support, including training, system updates, and responses to routine system queries

  • Analyze systems that interface with accounting platforms to ensure data accuracy and compliance

Qualifications:

  • Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph (FSP) clearance is required

  • Associate’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a closely related field

  • At least 2 years of relevant financial experience

  • Strong understanding of federal financial standards and general ledger reconciliation

  • Experience using financial systems; ability to troubleshoot and perform functional testing

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

  • Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and ability to work independently within established financial procedures
