Role Overview: You will be crucial in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial processes. You will report directly to the Head of Finance, Despina, who promotes a non-micromanagement approach and flexible working to support a healthy work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Update and review accounting records, including journal entries and adjustments
  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions.
  • Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end close processes
  • Manage payroll processing and ensure timely and accurate transactions
  • Perform regular bank account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly
  • Document and record all financial transactions in compliance with company policies
  • Organize financial documents and records
  • Handle administrative duties such as invoicing, payroll processing, and expense reporting
  • Support the Finance Manager in various administrative and financial tasks

Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience with bank communications (e.g., completing bank applications, responding to requests)
  • Background in the gaming industry is a plus
  • Detail-oriented with a willingness to handle administrative tasks

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, ACA)
  • Practical knowledge of IFRS and GAAP
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel)
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

The Team Structure

You would become the third member of our team, reporting directly to the Head of Finance, Despina.

Despina is looking for somebody with a calm approach to work. Someone who has good systems and frameworks to produce efficient work. She has a very relaxed management approach that feeds into Playnetic's approach of flexible working to encourage a good work-life balance.
