What does a Financial Analyst do at Hogarth?
The Financial Analyst is responsible for financial reporting and analysis for our growing production company.
Responsibilities:
- Perform day-to-day general ledger accounting, financial reporting and analysis
- Participate in month-end, quarter-end and year-end close
- Research and prepare variance analysis and explanations
- Prepare journal entries related to assigned functional responsibilities
- Responds to client inquiries
- Provide senior management with necessary financial analysis to improve business KPIs
- Perform ad hoc financial reports
- Analyze foreign currency transactions
Job requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree with a Finance or Accounting major or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of financial analysis experience with a focus on accounting
- In-depth understanding of project based billing in a high volume, quick turnaround environment
- Advanced Excel skills
- Results-driven, process and solutions oriented
- Strong interpersonal skills including strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, fluid environment
