The Team:

The Pricing & Global Commercial Finance Capabilities (GCFC) team manages North America and Asia Pacific pricing process in collaboration with respective Marketing teams. Our Finance team works on revenue and margin management for all Mattel brands and our business partners include Marketing, Sales and other Finance teams. The team works on projects which have a direct impact on business decisions at the company.

Job Description

The Opportunity: 

We are currently seeking a Finance Analyst to join the Pricing & Global Commercial Financial Capabilities team in El Segundo, CA. to play a critical role in supporting North America (United States and Canada) pricing process working closely with Marketing and Sales teams to maximize growth and profitability.

What Your Impact Will Be: 

 

  • Support pricing approval process and provide pricing analysis to drive growth and profitability
  • Track critical factors at SKU and brand level: sales, cost of sales, variable costs, margin and mix analysis (price & volume)
  • Develop, maintain and manage data in various databases for financial reporting and price tracking
  • Assist with analysis and presentation of financial data including pricing, margin, SKU efficiency and SKU level margins
  • Engage in forecast/budget cycles to provide prime cost and royalty projection with detailed analysis
  • Manage system-related enhancements and issues for business partners (i.e. Anaplan and Hyperion)
  • Act as a key contact for a variety of questions, problem resolution and ad hoc projects

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For:

  • BS/BA required (Finance, Accounting, Economics preferred) and 3+ years related experience
  • Excellent organizational, analytical and communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple projects
  • Must be motivated, detailed/results oriented and possess the highest ethical and accuracy standards
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
  • Demonstrated a growth mindset by staying curious and continuously learning, embracing challenges, and improving themselves.

The annual base salary range for this position is between $87,000 and $100,000
**This range is indicative of projected hiring range, however annual base salary will be determined based on a candidate’s work location, skills and experience.
