Job Description

This role involves developing camera solutions, focusing on quality design, imaging algorithm evaluation and development. The Firmware Engineer will collaborate with multiple teams to deliver high-quality camera experiences. Responsibilities include developing, implementing, and deploying imaging signal processing features aligned with emerging camera technologies; developing camera imaging signal processing algorithms to meet quality goals; and developing quality and tuning methods for novel imaging pipelines. The position requires working with Image Signal Processors (HW ISP) and expertise in image processing, computer vision, and computational photography.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree in EE or CS
  • 1+ years software development (C++, Python, MATLAB)
  • Imaging signal processing feature development
  • Camera imaging algorithm development
Good to have:
  • Master's degree in image processing
  • Experience in imaging system tuning
  • Experience with color space or tone mapping
  • Adaptability to new technologies

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
  • 1 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (C++, Python or MATLAB).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or equivalent practical experience in image processing, computer vision, and computational photography development.
  • Experience in imaging system tuning and quality evaluation including imaging hardware, image signal processing and post-processing imaging algorithms.
  • Experience with color space or tone mapping related algorithms.
  • Ability to adapt to new technologies in response to the rapidly evolving camera industry.
  • Excellent software engineering skills in hardware, with an understanding of Image Signal Processor (HW ISP).
