As a Firmware Manager, you will lead the development of embedded software for Gaming Simulation products. Your expertise in microcontrollers, sensors, and real-time operating systems (RTOS) will be instrumental in delivering innovative and high-performance Gaming Simulation experiences. You will oversee the development process using Agile methodologies and manage the embedded software development team. Responsibilities include leading Agile development, collaborating with cross-functional teams, providing technical guidance, establishing best practices, and ensuring high-quality delivery of gaming simulation products.
Must have:
  • 8+ years of experience in embedded software development
  • Strong expertise in microcontroller programming (STM32x, NRF5xx, Ti CCx)
  • Sensor interfacing and real-time operating systems (RTOS)
  • In-depth knowledge of real-time control algorithms, data processing, and performance optimization
  • Proficiency in Agile methodologies to manage software development
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong debugging skills
Good to have:
  • Experience with RTOS (FreeRTOS, QP/C and/or, Zephyr)
  • Experience with low-power chipsets (STM32, nRF52)
  • Experience in power management in Microcontroller
  • Experience in USB protocol, Bluetooth or any Wireless protocol

The Role:

As a Firmware Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading the development of embedded software for Gaming Simulation products. Your expertise in microcontrollers, sensors, and real-time operating systems (RTOS) will be instrumental in delivering innovative and high-performance Gaming Simulation experiences. You will also be responsible for overseeing the development process using Agile methodologies and effectively managing the embedded software development team.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead and drive the Agile development process for embedded software, ensuring iterative and incremental delivery of high-quality gaming simulation products.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and prioritize firmware requirements, and effectively manage the firmware development backlog.

  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the embedded software development team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

  • Establish and maintain best practices for embedded software development, including code reviews, automated testing, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.

Key Qualifications:

To excel in this role, you must possess the following skills and behaviors:

  • 8+ years of experience in embedded software development, with a focus on Firmware development and Agile methodologies.

  • Strong expertise in microcontroller programming (STM32x, NRF5xx, Ti CCx), sensor interfacing, and real-time operating systems (RTOS)

  • In-depth knowledge of real-time control algorithms, data processing, and performance optimization

  • Proficiency in utilizing Agile tools and methodologies to manage software development backlogs, sprints, and releases.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively lead and inspire a team

  • Strong debugging skills, all the way from application to hardware

In addition, preferable skills and behaviours include

  • Experience with RTOS (FreeRTOS, QP/C and/or, Zephyr a plus) on low-power chipsets (STM32, nRF52, …)

  • Experience in power management in Microcontroller.

  • Experience in USB protocol, Bluetooth or any Wireless protocol

Education

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in ECE, EEE, Computer Science or a related field.
