Job Summary
Job Description
The Forklift Operator I is responsible for moving materials from inventory to production and back, maintaining accurate paperwork and production records. They provide production departments with materials based on schedules, handle material movement between stations, and pack/label finished goods. They also move finished goods, assist with production needs, perform equipment maintenance, complete checklists, organize inventory yards, and adhere to forklift policies. Other duties include participating in safety programs and completing required records. A successful candidate will have responsibilities to move material, banding, wrapping, and labeling material. This role will require a basic education and the ability to successfully complete Forklift Driver licensing process. The role includes preventive maintenance, safety, CI and other programs and meetings.
Must have:
- Moves material between stations.
- Bands, wraps, and labels materials.
- Maintains production records.
- Completes pre-shift checklists.
- Follows forklift policies.
Good to have:
- Forklift driving experience preferred.
- Knowledge of basic math and inventory techniques.

Job Summary

Principle Duties and Responsibilities
Qualifications
- Moves material in process from one station to another if necessary
- Bands, wraps and/or packs finished goods, and labels material
- Moves finished goods from production area to finished goods inventory yard or warehouse
- Assist production with bottlenecks and other material needs
- Provides general preventive maintenance on equipment
- Completes pre-shift startup equipment checklist and reports any problems or concerns
- Maintains rough material and finished goods inventory yard organized and clean
- Completes production records as required
- Follows forklift rules and policies as described by Company policy
- Participates in safety, CI and other programs and meetings
- Performs other duties as required
Qualifications
- Minimum 9th grade basic education, High school diploma or GED preferred but not required
- No minimum experience is required however, forklift driving experience is preferred
- Working knowledge of basic math and inventory techniques preferred
- Successfully complete Forklift Driver licensing process
- Must be at least 18 years of age
