About the Role:
Ready to ride the slopes of action sports and finance? Look no further – we're seeking a Finance Manager with a McTwist to join our team! Reporting to our VP of Finance & Accounting, as FP&A Manager, Live Events, you'll take the helm of financial planning & budgeting for all X Games Live Events!

Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough financial analysis to support decision-making and assess the financial impact of various event scenarios and initiatives.
- Serve as the primary liaison with various departments including Event Operations, Content, Partnership Sales and Marketing, to gather input and align budgeting efforts with overall strategic objectives, ensuring accountability to the agreed-upon budget.
- Monitor and track expenses throughout the event lifecycle (pre, during, and post event) with fine attention to detail.
- Provide financial analysis – from unit level to comprehensive – to support decision-making related to event planning, sponsorship agreements, and revenue-generating initiatives, ensuring profitability and minimizing financial risks.
- Lead post-event financial reviews to assess performance, compare budget to actuals, identify areas for improvement, and inform future budgeting processes, maintaining urgency and buy-in from stakeholders.
- Collaborate with external partners, vendors, and sponsors to negotiate contracts, manage financial obligations, and optimize revenue streams, ensuring on-budget quotes and financial transparency.
- Develop and maintain financial models to evaluate the financial impact of various scenarios and strategic initiatives related to Live Events, staying apprised of changes and providing real-time data-driven support.
- Act as the point person onsite during events, addressing any financial issues or discrepancies that arise and ensuring compliance with budgetary constraints and financial protocols.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
- Significant experience (at least 3-5 years) in financial planning and analysis, ideally within an entertainment, sports, or events industry.
- Proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting software and Google Suite, with a keen ability to analyze data and provide actionable insights.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously, while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and hold stakeholders accountable to project goals and financial targets.
- Enthusiasm for action sports and a strong interest in the event management and/or action sports industry.
- Flexibility to travel and work non-traditional hours during peak event periods, with a commitment to excellence and professionalism in all aspects of the role.
