Full-Stack Engineer

JOB OVERVIEW

Plan A Technologies is  looking for a strong Full-Stack Developer with hands-on experience in Java, Node.js, React, Angular, and Open AI APIs to join our growing engineering team. This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of modern web development and AI-driven innovation. You will contribute to the design, development, and deployment of intelligent web applications and services, integrating advanced AI models into seamless user experiences. Please note: you must have at least 5+ years of experience as a Java, Node.js, React, Angular developer and experience working with Open AI APIs to be considered for this role.

JOB RESPONSIBILITY

• Develop scalable and maintainable backend services using Node.js (Express/Nest.js).

• Build responsive and user-friendly frontends using React and/or Angular.

• Design and implement seamless integrations with Open AI APIs (e.g., GPT-4, Chat Completions, Embeddings, Assistants).

• Collaborate with UX/UI designers, product managers, and other developers to deliver high-quality features.

• Ensure high performance and responsiveness of web applications.

• Write clean, testable, and well-documented code.

• Optimize AI workflows for speed, cost, and usability.

• Stay up to date with evolving technologies and recommend improvements where relevant.

EXPERIENCE

• 5+ years of experience with Node.js and backend RESTful API development.

• 5+ years of solid frontend experience with React and/or Angular.

• Hands-on experience integrating and working with Open AI APIs or similar LLM APIs.

• Familiarity with async processing, API rate limits, and prompt engineering concepts.

• Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript across both frontend and backend.

• Experience working with version control systems (e.g., Git).

• Understanding of modern software development best practices: CI/CD, testing, documentation.

• Experience with databases (SQL or NoSQL).

• Knowledge of prompt design, function calling, and fine-tuning in Open AI APIs.

• Familiarity with authentication/authorization (OAuth, JWT).

• Exposure to vector databases or embeddings-based search (e.g., Pinecone, We aviate).

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).

• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

• Ability to prioritize and work autonomously

• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.

• Initiative and drive to do great things.
